P.S To this set if you add the Porsche 911 GT2 and the Chrysler Viper GTS-R, you can get the composition of the cars is very close to the FIA GT Championship 1998. http://www.racingsportscars.com/photo/Donington-1998-09-06.html

From what i can see I Think some of the cars where from a very early mod made by Virtua-LM but i think they have had a lot of work done on them ...

Putlocker is a bit of a slow bastard Some of the cars are from a GTR2 mod called Prototypes SCC, which is a conversion of VLM's Le Mans 1999 mod for F1 2000.
Here are alternative links for those that don't have it:

The material is certainly interesting, but still requires significant improvement. Besides for HSO these cars can be useful in the form above FIA GT 1998. Probably this project will be the following for rfactor, after the release of the Group C. I already gathered the necessary material, began to convert MARCOS LM600. Porsche 911 GT2 and the Chrysler Viper GTS-R desired configuration I have. The difficulty is only skin pack. The physical model will be borrowed from Enduracers ES SP2 and improved taking account the real data hire. Until such a plan...

Sounds like the British GT 2006 mod for GTR2, during the Mullen-Niarchos domination era

Suppose that the two thousandth years, in the light of which should be considered Maserati MC12 and Morgan Aero 8, it is a bit late for the concept HSO. Therefore, the company of Mercedes-Benz CLK LM, Panoz GTR-1, Porsche 911 GT1-98, McLaren F1 GTR, Chrysler Viper GTS-R, Porsche 911 GT2 and Marcos LM600 would be just right . Le Mans 1998 certainly tempting http://www.racingsportscars.com/photo/Le_Mans-1998-06-07.html , but lacks quite a few models, however, and in their absence, hire at the start will not be less than thirty... We'll see how it goes ...

Shame the Maserati would be considered too modern, 2003 & 2004 in FIA GT (2004 Maserati joined FIA GT) were the first non-F1 championships I watched thanks to Eurosport. Matteo Bobbi became my hero for that period, and even into when I started playing GTR2. I got to meet him at Paul Ricard last year, a friend of my dads, and told him that I used to drive as him on GTR2

The FIA GT 1998 championship was one of the most boring competitions ever, with almost all races being a 1-2-3 sweep for the CLK-GTRs
In fact it was so boring that the FIA cancelled it for the following year
And yet the cars were beautiful and fascinating, especially the year before when there was more competition and the CLK didn't have a clear upper hand on the rest. The 1997 season is much better and brings fond memories of the good old SCGT game and the previous BPR series was also great racing with a good variety of cars.
But if HSO ever wants to do a FIA GT 97 championship, there is a conversion from the F1 Challenge mod for GTR2 that could eventually also be converted to rFactor.
A huge task, though

Involving the latest Enduracers update?
@Alberto: I was in Dijon in '98 I think, but being 9 years old I was too busy keeping my ears shut
BPR: Oh yes, that were the times. I still remember the Venturis

Alberto you think that our virtual FIA GT 98 can be wildly boring !?! In the virtual championship in various ways without sacrificing the quality of the physical model to escape the domination of one brand. And provide contrary to the realities of interesting fight on the track. Moreover, we can focus on the pace of the pilots. Of course, the season of 1997, more meaningful, but available for him models awful quality, even for its time.
David are you asking this question too early ...
And now the guys I'm sorry, but I have to immerse yourself thoughts in another project! The FIA GT 1998 a bit later...
And yet it seems to me it was interesting ! Although the dominance of the Mercedes of course obvious.
