I'll try to be there for the Caterham race, I want that 3rd place back! Razz

EDIT: Is the National track and this one the same download?

EDIT2: Guess it is, judging by the track folder.

Great race!!! And sooooo happy with my first points of the championship! Seems like the break i had helped me!

Fantastic first few laps with Frank and Pierre, Tried to keep up with Frank but he was way too quick for me, So settled down and tried to maintain the gap between myself and Pierre.

Last lap....... affraid A Corolla Spinning infront of me in the last chicane. For a split second thought my race was going to be over, No worries about the bump Pierre, It helped me get going again, And Ole, Maybe if you wanted to get out of the way, You should have just accelerated into the gravel trap you were facing instead of spinning around.

Anyway never mind! Was a great race and i'm glad to be back!!
Thanks again to the organiser's! :top: :drink:

Yes nice race, first of the others again, i'm happy.

Sorry for the braking Richard, I missed my braking point, I couldn't see the 100 Panel from where I was and I took the marks as a marker for braking... but too far from the good spot.

And for the last turn, I couldn't passed anyway so it was just a fright Wink

You just can't swap cars as you wish Peter, you are supposed to stick with a car, unless it's a complete dog, which is not the case of the Nissan. Well, admins will tell you.

Rocky has shown excellent driving standards. I had a glimpse of it in the DRP races where he pushed, shoved, blocked, closing doors when someone is inside, and I had a full demonstration in the Caterham race. One thing you should know, I'm quite rancorous Very Happy

Caterhams

R1: Sorry Frank, we didn't touch but I turned the wheel as right as possible but it still wasn't enough space for you to run on Sad

R2: Sorry for the touch Jean-Marie, did you lose the car into 2nd gear? That touch made me go sideways into the chicane pale

And then you clipped my fender at the end of hangar, unsettling your car, which quite decided the race.

All in all, you extended your gap in the fight for 3rd in the championship. Should have turned up last time Embarassed

A frustrating night with some good fun in between Smile

Caterhams first:

R1:

Had a bad launch off the line and soon made a misstake at the fast left before the chicane which saw me on the grass and soon facing towards the oncoming traffic. Sorry to the guy who was closest behind me when I had spun, I decided to let the car roll in a as straight line as possible down to the chicane on the outside line which might not have been smart but it was the best option at the time.

Had some fun when I had recovered to get up the field and had a good battle with Phillipe and Ben to begin with and then during the dying laps me and Raynald had a very fun battle for 9th :D

R2:

A much better launch off the line and was on the inside worried that I would run wide at T1 and send someone off but managed to stay clean. Had a fun battle with Frank and JMarie for about 60% of the race which I enjoyed immensly, I hope you guys had some fun in it as well.

Was up as high as 5th in that battle but unfortunatly I made a misstake at T3 on lap 5 or 6 which saw me wide and soon back in the path of JMarie who was allready commited to follow Frank through and it ended with me on the roof with quite an headache Embarassed

Thanks Ben for trying to get me back on my wheels but it was unfortunatly a lost battle and I had to retire Crying or Very sad

BTCC:

Was a lot better overall than the Caterhams Smile

Had a very good qualifying session were I did a PB by over 4 tenths of a second which I'm very happy with, couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the laptime I managed to do :D

The start was quite good but I had nowhere to go into T1 so almost lost out to Ben but just about managed to hang on to the position. Into T3 I was again forced to take an outside line due to a GrA car up the inside of me there. This time I got a bit of a tank slapper going and Ben could sail past and that was the last I saw of him it felt like.

Had a good battle that I enjoyed with Franck in his Supra but I wasn't happy at the time as I wanted to chase after Ben to try and get 1st place in GrB. Smile

After about 8-10 laps I managed to gap Franck and set off after Ben trying to get back the time I had lost in the battle. I could catch up some seconds but he kept it around 4 seconds. I don't know what he has done to get the M3 fly that fast on the straights but he was able to get about 4-5 tenths of a second on the S/F straight and about 3-4 tenths on the Hangar Straight pale

I did my best but no champagne for me, can only say well done Ben, that was an excellent drive mate

Also Congratz to Jesper and the GrC winner, sorry but didn't see who won that class Embarassed

Overall a frustrating evening but I'm happy we're done with Silverstone as it is far to flat to be a good track for me, will look forward to Brands, Snetterton and especially Birmingham which is a track I love :D

I don't know what you are talking about as far as the DRP races. I only pushed you on the straights to give us both an advantage, which you also did to me afterwards. I was completely fine with you pushing me and since you did I figured you were fine with me pushing you. I don't know when I blocked in those races, but I did make some mistakes and caused an accident for Gui, which I am very sorry for. However, you did give me a tap in the hairpin at Hockenheim, which I didn't forget. But it didn't affect the outcome, hardly. It was a very fun race with you.

Now in the Caterhams, I never blocked you until the last lap. I did push you into Club on the last lap, but that was after you blocked me and then you started to slow down when I was right there. I didn't mean to push you at all. I saw it as a racing incident. I pulled out, you blocked and slowed down for the corner and I ran into you. And when you blocked I tried to keep moving to the right, but you kept moving over also. What was I supposed to do?

Then you dive bombed me into the chicane. I kinda suspected this would happen because you had been dive bombing at lot in the race. I thought it was a cheap shot, so yes I blocked you all I could into Woodcote. If you think my driving standards are low, then look in the mirror. You retaliated with more force than my push on you, which again was not on purpose.

I admit I was closing doors in the first race, but from my point of view, I was leading into the corner during those instances and so I took my racing line. If I am supposed to leave room whenever someone is at all inside me, then I'll leave the door open.

In the second race, you should have passed me at your first chance. Not my fault. And again, I thought it was a cheap shot running into me after the second race was finished. Not very sportsman like.

I know what bump drafting is, thank you.

You started on race 1 lap 1 by zig zaging and blocking in the first straight, when cars that were at least 20 mph faster than us trying to avoid you. I had one car hitting me because you felt the need to block the lane.

When ??? Shocked Shocked I certainly did not push you off track on the last lap like you did.

Because I was braking for the f*cking corner ! It was the friggin last lap of a touring car race, I was supposed to let you by ?

Payback is a b!tch, but I'm not done yet.

Well, for example, in the Caterham championship, I'm fighting with Gui at every race, and we never needed to close doors or push the other off track. But since I adapt my driving with the guy I'm racing with, I'll race even harder the next time you dare show up.
