I did some practice laps last night. (ORSM V1.3 2006 track hope its the right one!) On low fuel and quali tyres my lap time in the 190E 2.3 was 2:21.07 so if I read correctly about 6.8 sec of the fastest and 3.28 sec of fastest in class B. I need to get my co driver now and then will sign up. I need to ask a couple of questions:
Is auto clutch allowed or is it full sim? Is fuel and tyre wear set to normal? What is the damage setting?
EDIT: I have just realised that I am using Version 2.9 of the World Touring Masters Mod. I understand that its the final evolution of what started as the Touring legends mod. Better check how I go with V1.10
EDIT 2: Better link to initial release notes from the Mods author. http://www.racedepartment.com/forum/threads/touring-masters-v2-9-released.42809/#post-974138

Welcome at HSO David
First I would say training on the Merc is rather useless as there's only one available for this race, and it's already taken.
Auto clutch is allowed, fuel and tyre were are normal, damages 100%.
We are aware of the WTM mod but they tweaked the cars to egalize their performances, which isn't realistic at all so we stick with the TCL mod.
BTW maybe you should get in touch with Ben Truffini, he booked a Sierra and still has no teammate (as far as i know)

Alberto this is a very long race there are so many deciding factors, don't worry about your speed over 1 lap ....
From experience i will be using the 6 speed
Your Laptime is great ...

Thanks for your encouragement Carl
I feel the car accelerates better with the 6 gears, but the 5 gears box allows me to do many sections of the track with a single gear and that saves me time ... need to give the other a bit more practice and seeif it is worth for qualify
BTW I have a 0.10 litres less fuel consumption difference per lap when using the 5 speed gearbox, which might be also something to consider in an endurance race

For some reason, when I was driving the M3 back in 2009 in our DTM series, I was much faster with the 5-speed gearbox
No technical explanations I believe, it's just that 5-speed is a better compromise for my driving style I guess

Thxs for the input
After some more laps it seems I'm marginally faster with the 6 speed gearbox ... however I'm not as consistent and the car sucks more fuel, hence I think I will stay with the 5 speed. Hopefully my teammates will have the same preference

Ca fait un moment, mais je continue régulièrement de rouler... Je suis vraiment content de prendre le départ avec vous, en équipe avec Jean-François Bovy, pour une course qui s'annonce palpitante... Au 4 au plus tard!!!

Greetings to all, I am from Spain Canary Islands. Great event, great category of vehicles and great circuit. I saw the ad and I think a great idea.
Good luck with this project. I wish to participate, but labor issues I can not. I leave this little video of this great vehicle category.
Bmw M3, manual gearbox in H, Heel & Toe clutch. G25 720 º, 22 º direction lock
A greeting.

OK a few reminders before tonight's first qualifying session .
- Chatting is strictly forbidden during the session. If you have major technical issues give a shout on the forum and we'll help you out.
- Drivers sharing a car for the race must take turns on the car during qualifying - it is strictly forbidden to have at the same time on the track two identical cars (for instance two #46 BMWs). A team breaking this rule will have all the times of its entered cars erased for the session in which the infraction took place.
If you have any questions don't hesitate and ask .
