| OK, 2nd stint over, we're approaching the end. This time everything went perfectly. My apologizes to PHILIPPE MARTINELLI for a hairy situation we had on the fastest section My car was 2 laps down and I was faster, so I was unlapping myself and never thought he would defend his position, so we went into the quickest turn almost paralell and touched. Fortunately he controlled the car well and nothing happened. Again sorry | |

| End of 2+3 double stint, bit shabby due to lack of sleep, stoked with how well my teammates are driving.
Car has accumulated so much panel damage by now that the top speed is deficient by about 20 km/h.
Whatever happens in the rest of the race, I've been glad to finally race head-to-head with Lorenzo, Guillaume, and Martin in a Sierra. Couple of fantastic battles of pressure there. Somehow with the slow car and after 2 spins, 2 pitlane glitches, and getting bogged in the sand trap, we were still in the lead. Think the final flat tyre might put paid to that though!
Great race and congratulations in advance to the winners, and thanks very much to my two epic teammates CortyGT and Matt Brinson.

| I need a high octane drink! I only wish I could have been closer to speed with my teammates. Well, I kept all the body panels on it and based on how "slow" one or two of the Sierras were at ~ 1 hour to go I would say my time differential came down Again great passing by you speed monkeys with only one exception but his impatience cost him more than me so we are even. Your front bumper can be collected at my doctor's office after it is removed from my trunk. Edit: with Lorenzo's car clean on the front end and 2nd & 3rd missing front clips I think Lorenzo is going to walk this one all the way to the bank. | |

| Congrats to the winners but a special thanks to Ben for having me along as co-driver. Even though I had to drive my stint with my wheel turning dead left (alignment was off after a shunt), I can't have asked for a better teammate. You drove a hell of a race and I am glad to have been a part of it even if I was less than fantastic. I appreaciate you guys having me and I hope to participate in more HSO events in the future! | |

On remet ça?

| Well that was great fun! (could it be different at Bathurst anyway?) Third after a poor start, I spent the first twenty laps of the race trying to pass Lorenzo. I was a bit faster on the mountain, but he was a bit faster where we can overtake, so that was not easy Thanks to the traffic in Forest Elbow, I managed to stay in his slipstream an overtook him in the Chase. (in fact that was my second attempt here, the first one was... messy Sorry for the little trip in the sand Lorenzo... and I think Trevor, who was right behind us, laughed a bit seeing that ) I was then in the second place, far behind Ben (very nice run with clear track at the beginning of the race, no mistakes and great pace ). But at this moment, I spotted a little problem with our "setup". Gui and I used the default one (except the gearbox), which was good early in the stint, but it appeared that it was hard on the tires after 15/20 laps So I slowed down, and made a big mistake at the Dipper, which cost me 15 secondes to restart, 40 secondes to repair, and still after that the suspension was broken It was in lap 25 or 26, I did 5/6 laps before I passed the wheel to Gui. The car was not still well repaired, so he did the best he could with what he had. And he did pretty well, closing the gap with Dan and JP When I get back behind the wheel, I found a brand new car, with all his speed. I pushed hard during 33 laps, I managed to overtook JP for the second place 4 or 5 laps before my pitstops. But just after my restart, I hit the wall in the Cutting, and the car was messed up again I did 33 laps in this stint, closing a bit the gap between Ben and me, but losing time to Lorenzo. I took the lead for 3 laps when Ben had his troubles, and gave the wheel back to Gui for the end of the race. He did well until he had tires problem and had to let Lorenzo go for the victory. A bit disappointed by my big mistake in Dipper which cost us the victory, but it's part of the race. Thanks to all for coming and making this race such a great event, congrats to all finishers ps: lappers was nearly perfect with me

| Just like Philou, the restart was a good thing for me too because I was feeling much more confident after the red flag. I even tried to overtake two Sierras on the start, only to see them blast past in the mountain straight Greg soon overtook me as he was a bit faster, I tried to hang to his tail as much as I could but at the same time I had my hands full with challenges from Matias, BMW, Dmitri, Alfa, and Mark, Nissan. It was great fun ! Until I crashed my car in Dipper trying to follow the Nissan's pace Lost a full minute I think with repairs and shit, and then tried to fight back with a wounded car for 10 laps or so. I then handed the car over to Lorenzo who did a great race lapping some 120+ laps on both the winning Sierra and the little Merc He managed to climb back up the class B field with a great pace Unfortuntaly we had lost two majors contenders due to disconection problems : Buksha/Soldatov and Goissen/Verplanken were now out of the race, but I still had to worry about Estrela/Kedzierski and Burlaka/Ljubchik, so I kept pushing Eventually, I managed to put a 1mn gap on the latter team so JP just had to cruise to the finish in first in class However, the fight was intense with Janos Hegyvari | Balazs Kiss | Imre Bende and their Nissan for 5th place (and first non-Sierra). Imre was slightly slower than us while Janos was definitely faster, so first Janos caught me back, then I caught back Imre, and evntually with 10 laps or so to go Janos pitted and exited the pits just in front of us, but unfortunately he was too fast on new tyres for JP to fight back, well done guys Without my mistake in the first stint, we could have claimed 5th place, but 6th overall and 1st in class is pretty good already I'd say Grats to my teamates Lorenzo and JP who did a tremendous job to win overall and both classes It was great to be driving with you guys. Well done as well to the podium finishers, and all the teams who finished and had fun in this event. Now bring on Wellington for some more Endurance racing, I hope we'll have an even better field!! | |
