** PACE NOTES PLUGIN & TARGA ROAD BOOK **

For this rally event we will use T Racer's rFactor Pacenotes Plugin, which enables you to have a co-driver announcing the turns via audio files.

Instructions

Download rF PaceNotes Plugin and simply unzip the file in the main folder of your rFactor install (for instance : E:\rFactor)

Once on the track you can enable/disable the plugin by pressing "shift+e". You can change the enable/disable command in the settings.ini file of the plugin.

You can also modify, add or correct notes with the plugin. Please refer to the simple readme file of the plugin for instructions on how to create notes.

HSO Targa Notes

The Targa Rally pace notes provided here are more of a road book than a detailed turn-by-turn note book. It will however be of a big help to those new to the circuit, as all the major difficulties, blind turns, tricky hairpins, ...etc. are mentionned.

To keep it simple to make the road book (taking notes for 800+ turns one by one takes a lot of time ), turns are split in three different categories (normal, slow, fast) :

Right or Left : the regular average turn, not particularly tricky, even though it usually necessitates a slowing down manoeuvre (either lifting off or braking slightly) but not to the point of downshifting.

Slow Right or Slow Left : trickier and slower turn, necessitating a strong braking and one or more downshifts.

Fast Right or Fast Left : flat out (or almost :p ).

These three types of turns can be altered by one of the following comments :

Caution : announces a most tricky turn or section : blind hairpin, bad bump, off camber turn, jump, intersection, bridge, and other classic Sicilian traps.

Long : for the unusually long turns.

Hairpin : <-- .

The co-driver will also announce the various sector starts and finishes :

End of Special Stage : SS is finished, proceed to slowing down zone and then to LS.

Start of Liaison Section : what it says.

End of Liaison Section : what it says.

Proceed to Special Stage start : what it says.

Wait for the Green Light : reminder about the red/green light at the start of each SS.

Targa Rallye .wav files were made with TextToWav, a neat little soft which did the job perfectly

Téléchargez le rF PaceNotes Plugin et décompressez le dans le dossier "Plugins" de votre installation rFactor install (par exemple : E:\rFactor\Plugins)

Une fois sur la piste vous pouvez activer/désactiver le plugin en appuyant sur simultanément shift+e Once. Vous pouvez changer cette commande dans le fichier settings.ini du plugin.
Vous pouvez également modifier, peaufiner ou corriger les notes que nous vous fournissons. Tout est expliqué très clairement dans le fichier readme du plugin.

Notes HSO Targa Florio

Les notes que nous vous fournissons sont plus un road book qu’un vrai cahier de notes détaillant le moindre virage. Elles seront néanmoins d’une grande aide pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas le circuit car elles annoncent toutes les principales difficultés du circuit, tels que les virages aveugles, les épingles, …etc.

Afin de pouvoir réaliser plus facilement ces notes (créé une annonce pour chacun des 800 virages du circuit prend beaucoup de temps ^^), les virages sont divisés en trois catégories (normal, lent et rapide) :

Right ou Left : virage normal, pas particulièrement piégeux, même s’il nécessite en général un ralentissement (lever le pied ou freiner légèrement) mais jamais au point de descendre un rapport de vitesse.

Slow Right ou Slow Left : virage plus piégeux et plus lent, nécessitant un freinage marqué et un ou plusieurs rétrogradages.

Fast Right ou Fast Left : virage à fond (ou presque :p )

Ces trois types de virages peuvent être nuancés par les annonces suivantes :

Caution : préviens d’un piège particulièrement vicieux : épingle aveugle, mauvais saut, virage en dévers, saut, interscetion, pont, et autres piéges locaux.

Long : pour les virages particulièrement longs.

Hairpin : Epingle à cheveux.

Le co-pilote annonce également le début et la fin des différents secteurs :

End of Special Stage : fin de l’ES.

Start of Liaison Section : début de la liaison.

End of Liaison Section : fin de la liaison.

Proceed to Special Stage start : arrivée en vue du départ de la prochaine ES.

Wait for the Green Light : rappel du respect du feu rouge/vert au départ de l’ES.

Les fichiers .wav des notes ont été réalisées avec TextToWav .

BTW you could have included an easter egg when going through one of those turns with a nice view of the sea and the girl suddenly goes with a sensual voice like: "Stop here and I'll show you ..."

Haha yes I wanted to include a "come one, let's go to the beach baby" but lack of time etc ^^ . I'll see with Antoine if he wants to complete his recordings and maybe even do some in français, in which case I'll upload these alternate audio versions.

And by the way, your co-driver is called Anna (default voice of TextToWav )

I once knew someone called Anna. Backstabbing cunt.

Its the same person, she'll tell you "fast right" before a left hairpin sometimes.

Haha yes I reckon she did a few mistakes, like inverting a left and a right, but nothing too dangerous . Anyway once you have the notes you also have all the tools to edit them if you spot any mistake. This is only the race's official road book, not a definitive note book for the circuit .

Hmm, doesn't seem to be active for me? I've put the folder in the file into the plug ins folder, and also tried Shift + E. I also tried chanigng the hotkey, but still doesn't work.

Petite question, j'ai installé le plugin et en faisant shift+e, j'ai l'annonce de l'activation du plugin par contre je n'ai aucune annonce de quelque sorte une fois en piste.

Tu as bien le fichier Piccolo Madonie.txt dans le dossier "pacenotes" du plugin ?

je regarderai ce soir mais je me suis contenté de décompresser le fichier téléchargé ici donc a priori oui

ca marche maintenant, je n'entends pas beaucoup la dame avec le moteur or le volume est déjà sur 0, soit la valeur max. Si je vais éditer les wav du plugin ca devrait le faire nom ?

Oui j'ai déjà édité celles que j'ai créé par ce que par défaut on entendait rien du tout. Du coup si tu boostes encore le gain maybe ça va commencer à cracher. Mais y'a moins relou si tu veux pas bidouiller les .wav c'est de baisser le son de ton moteur.

au passage, il me semble que nous n'utilisons pas la dernière version du plugin,il y a une version 1.0 je crois

C'est la 1.0, c'est juste le readme qui est pas modifié.
