My HGT/Nordscliefe Problem continues to haunt me ....

What i have tried so far ....

Latest GFX Card drivers , Different Screen resolution , DX7 DX8 DX9 DX10 , turn of replay ,
Downloadiing the mod and track and re-installing to Rfactor install and Rfactor Lite install ....

Still loose connection 1/4 of the way around the track on my 2nd lap seems to be related to time rather than place
on the track say after roughly 11mins .....

Realized that with windows XP 32bit install only half of my 4gb of ram was being used. my broadband speed was also
being held back as well .....

Reformat hard drive install windows 7 64bit first thing i notice is boot up speed is amazing compared to Xp
probably helped by the extra Ram i've gained ..... 4Gb Ram 30meg broadband speed ...

Re-install rFactor but for some reason , when i try to install the HGT Mod it keeps saying there are dds files missing
also had a few problems with sound and gfx and some programs not functioning correctly , so could not test the mod
I think i deleted a few files which did not help matters ....

I Decide to re-install Windows again , this time i seem to have a much cleaner install as everything is working correctly
Re-install rFactor , Install the HGT mod this time it installs ok ......

First test online manage to get past the point where i normally loose connection and think Yes i've cracked it only to find
now i loose connection every 2nd lap just as i cross the start finish line ,,, How f****** annoying is that ....

I've done hundreds of laps of practice in 2 lap stints but always loose connection just as i pass the line ...
I Dont think its time related but its just so frustrating as i can pinpoint where im going to get disconnected .....

Just as i complete my flying lap its all over ..... I Might be there tommorrow but when i cross the line on the 2nd lap i will hit the hyperspace button

That's so fucked up Carl I'm sorry I really have no idea as to what the problem is

You don't talk about 1.01 fix mod HGT, have you download and re-install it too?

You can create a shortcut to your hgttc instalation with:

...\rFactor\rFactor.exe" -trace=1000

it will create trace.txt in

...\rFactor\userdata\LOGS

Post this file, maybe someone here can help you

Carl this might just be a wild ass guess and suggestion, but what happens if you schedule your pitstop for that lap and go through the pits instead of storming thorugh the finish line??

If it doesn''t work, I suggest going to rFactor.net and ask for help. The rFactor dev's are very active there. If they cannot help, then I'm not sure what to do.

This just gets weird ....

I Was on the server with Alessio and just to check this is not time related i pulled over on
the side of the track for 10 mins ....

I Did my outlap then started my 2nd lap and followed Alberto's suggestion and pitted this time i was able to
drive over the start finish line in the pits and not loose connection .... Diid a pitstop and carried on for another lap
pulled in the pits for a 2nd time but as i crossed the start finish line i loose connection

This one is the probable error ... for some reason the game doesn't find a token (whatever that is) for your car. Something changes status in the game when you cross the line and start a new lap, and the game can't do that for you or for your car. Please try another car and see if it all works or not. Try f.e. the De Tomaso, and if it works for you and I can instead race with your Porsche, we can swap rides for the championship if you can participate that way

OMG How annoying just tried the Pantera exactly the same result ...

On my flying lap i managed a 8:41:078 with the default setup
what could have been ........

Alberto you keep the pantera beast for now ....

Are you able to do as many laps as you want when racing offline? I mean, is this really, really just a problem of online racing with this track?
