Un bref rappel des règles :

- Pas de pseudos sur le serveur, on court sous son vrai nom.

- Pas de chat en qualifs, encore moins en course. On respecte les pilotes en piste, et on attend la fin de la session pour parler ou s'excuser si besoin.

- Grande prudence au départ, la course est longue, les voitures fragiles. Le replay du départ sera examiné après course, tout comportement trop dangereux sera sanctionné pour la prochaine course. La modération sera tout de même plus souple pour les nouveaux arrivants.

- Réglez votre voiture de façons à ce qu'elle ne fume ni en qualifications ni course. Des sanctions seront prises le cas échéant. Il est recommandé de mettre le radiateur au maximum pour la course, les voitures chauffent énormément sur la grille de départ, ne jouez pas de l'accélérateur à l'arrêt. N'oubliez pas qu'il y a un tour de formation.

Quick reminder of few rules for the race :

- No nicknames on server, everybody race with his real name

- No chat during qualifying session and race. Please respect others drivers on the track, and wait for the end of the session to chat.

- Please be very careful at the start, the race is long, cars very sensitive to contacts. The start's replay will be carefully reviewed and there will be sanctions against wreckless drivers.
Nevertheless, we will take in consideration that newcomers haven't necessarily an experience of such races.

- Set up your car so it doesn't smoke during qualifying and race or you'll incur a sanction. It is higly recommended to set the radiator size at the maximum for the race, cars heat up in huge proportions on the starting grid. Don't play with hrottle when your car is stopped. Dont forget there is a formation lap.

J'en profite pour vous dire que ce championnat ne sera pas reconduit l'an prochain. Les prochaines courses seront donc les dernières courses Aurora de l'univers, donc si vous voulez dire "J'y étais !" à vos petits enfants, venez

Franck can clinch the title at the end of this race if he scores 7 points more than me.

I also announce you that this series won't be back in 2010. Next races will be the last Aurora races of the whole Universe, so if you want to say "I was there !" to your children, join !

Dommage ...c'etait une super serie pour les debutants ou le pilotes moyens (comme moi) avec une distance raisonnable ...mais peut etre que Mr Gui a quelque chose d'encore mieux dans ses tiroirs ...

Yes I know I'm sad too, but planning another full year with this mod while we are struggling with attendance wouldn't be a good idea.

This mod is based on the GPC79 mod indeed, that was my first modding attempt and I only tweaked a little the GPC79 mod to make those cars slower and easier to drive. My next attempt will be the mod that will replace the Aurora series next year, another open wheel mod, with scratch made physics this time, I hope you'll like it

Haha Carl you are not very far from the truth in fact. The mod Gui is talking about was to F1 what Superbike is to MotoGP... i.e. the poor man's F1 with cheaper engines... Sssshhh I've said too much already .

F5000 comes to my mind, too.

Btw, as you maybe know, there ist an unfinished F5000 (simulating the year 1974?) mod. To my knowledge, it is the first mod for rFactor with which you can blow up your engine when you are not careful with engine revs. I like that feature . It demands self-discipline from the driver.

Yes it was a good idea indeed, as almost all modding teams don't care about engine reliability. I mean, for example, in the GP 79 mod, engine can blow up if it heats up too much while the car is stopped or not cooled enough, but never if you overrev too often.
But I think it was too extreme in this beta, no engine blows up immediatly because you hit a certain RPM, as it was the case in the beta. My mod will be some kind of a compromise on this point
