EVENT SCHEDULE

Wednesday September 23rd (all times given are CET) :

20:00 - Free Practice
20:45 - Qualifying (5 laps)
21:00 - Warmup
21:05 - Race Start (40 Laps)

Server Password : hso85
A training server will be running 24/7 (same password).

Race Start Procedure

Behaviour on track

- as for all HSO races, it is required you use your real name both in-game and on the forum. Thank you.

- Chatting is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in race session. It is allowed in qualifying sessions for technical issues only.

- Drive Through : If a driver has to do a drive through, even if there is no pit lane speed limit, he has to drive through the pitlane at 100km/h max (60mph). If he doesn't respect this, he will get a 30s penalty at the end of the race.

- Shortcuts : If a driver gains a position after shortcutting a turn, he is required to give it back as soon as possible. In the case where a driver would not do it rapidly, a 30-second penalty will be added to his total race time. In the event of abusive and intentional shortcutting, severe sanctions will be applied (up to definitive a ban from the league). To make sure you never shortcut a turn, try to always keep two wheels on the track.

- Respect the red light at the end of the pitlane.

Application and Interpretation of the Regulations

The admins alone are qualified to solve any problems raised by the application and the interpretation of the present regulations.

I blew it

I had the pace, managed to qualify second in class, messed a bit the start, but when it was finally between me, Richard C and Peter, i mishifted at the worst possible moment, the rear slid a bit, touched the grass, and i was in the gravel :doh:

After that i just circulated around, was passed by Alan and Bovy, only for them to tangle with each other i suspect, and i getting the places back.. well roll on the next :frank:

Bonne qualif.... pôle.... c'est qu'une fois (à peu près) maîtrisée, elle avance, la Mustang ! Very Happy

Départ façon diesel comme à Sandown Park, la chance est que Jonathan qui est 2nd fait de même !
José, parti 3ème, s'infiltre entre nous pour passer le 1er gauche en tête.... mais part en tête à queue à la sortie !
Comme à Sandown Park, je me retrouve en tête sans rien faire !

Après, c'est à fond... mais une crampe dans le pied gauche apparaît dans le deuxième tour qui m'handicapera toute la course. Certains freinages ont été plus que tangeants !
Course en tête donc, mais très difficile avec un Jonathan plus que menaçant !
Il me fait d'ailleurs l'intérieur dans le dernier gauche, mais je recroise et reprend la tête juste pour franchir la ligne ! Ouf, il était temps, un tour de plus, j'étais mort ! Bravo Jonathan, quelle course !

Et bravo à tous, et aux lappés impeccables !

Well, was an interesting event, and with a bit more time to practice and work on the setup, it could have been more but very happy with the result of the evening.

Qualifying:

Managed to get a good lap in, was nowhere near Yves who had lots and lots of speed around here (which I expected, better handling than the Holden). Was somewhat surprised at how close Jose and JP was able to get to the front rows, was expecting the Rovers to at least hold one of the top 4 grid slots.

Race:

Made my worst start in a long time but got saved by the fact that there are no leanght of straight road before Turn2.

Jose made a slight misstake coming out of Turn2 and both me and Yves was able to get by and then I broke early to make sure I didn't fly off at the hairpin but those behind was able to brake so much later that I had a nudge in the rear, was able to hold it as I was prepared for it.

After this I was able to pull away from the guys behind while Yves was able to hold the distance at about 1.8 to 2.2 seconds, the distance fluctuating along the lap.

It seems I was a lot better on the brakes while Yves had the gearing set for maximum acceleration and top speed. It made for an interesting, non side by side, action as I was closing in at the hairpin and the last corner while Yves was having much better Turn2 and exits allowing him to pull away together with his gearing.

In the end my only hope was for a misstake to be made or a lapping going wrong which happened, at the very last lap.

I had dove up like a metronome in the last corner the lap or 2 laps before while lapping and found that I had very good brakes and tires still so, when Yves braked early to make sure to be able to make it by Jan safely, I sent it up the the inside in a true BANZAI moment of hopeful idiocy, was able to avoid contact (almost, there were a slight door-handle contact) but due to me going slightly sideways when I decided to dive, I weren't able to get the car stopped by the apex which saw Yves being able to undercut me and get the line before me.

Really good drive Yves, I had nothing for you in the end and you made no misstakes, nice one!
And thanks for the battle, made it an enjoyable evening Smile

Well done to all the lappers, apart from one moment when someone rejoined at Turn3 there were no moments for me when anyone was in the way by much, a few "I'm not sure I'm ahead so I'll take a tighter line under braking" was the only moments of some discomfort, nice driving from everyone Smile

Thanks for the evening and happy with 2nd place, consistent finishing is what I hope will bring me some kind of success :aie:

Sorry to Jean-Francois Bovy and anyone else who was involved in the incident on the straight after turn 1, my game stuttered then froze for a second coming off turn 1 and when it unfroze I was staring at the wall! Was then stuck sideways on straight with a big pack of cars coming! Embarassed
