Nevermind, not present. I am available, but my video cable for my VR headset is just too damaged. I can practice fine, but I usually can't ever go more than 2-3 laps without my headset blacking out for 10 seconds all the way to a minute and a half, and quite frankly, I don't think I can do this track blind . Chances are high it'll be sorted soon though, so here's hoping I can make it for Rouen.

Silverstone Drivers Briefing
Hope you are looking forward to the racing tomorrow! As many of you will be aware, this version of Silverstone we are racing on has a couple of interesting characteristics. With that in mind, we'd like you to be aware of and follow these instructions:
Entering the track: please proceed through the pit line when entering the track. Do not go straight out onto the track via the middle of the Woodcote chicane. The exception to this rule is during the warm up for each race, where you can enter via the chicane in order to proceed to the grid to perform practice starts.
Stowe Corner Track Limits: There is a massive run off area at the exit of Stowe (see attached image). As we have no means of enforcing track limits here (we do not wish to rely on the rFactor 2 track limits system), you can use as much of this runoff as you like. However, in doing so you are responsible for safely re-entering the track proper. Any significant collisions that occur as a result of re-entering the track here will be reviewed, and post-race time penalties will likely be applied according to their severity. Please message me here or on discord to report any such incidents.

Things started badly when I couldn't connect to the server for some reason and when I did join it was already 15 minutes gone. So I was panicking to try and get a qualifying lap in (sorry I think I cut a few people up into the Chicane). Anyway on my last lap I finally set a decent enough time, a few tenths behind my teammate. The session then restarted with 15 minutes to go? That confused me. Normally it's only five minutes before the start of the race. After faffing around for a bit and wondering why there were no other cars to be seen, I suddenly realized it was qualifying. The first session had just been the end of practice. Anyway I jumped into the car and started driving around but soon realised that I didn't have many laps left and had put the wrong fuel levels in for qualifying. In the end I was okay with the time I set but it was off the pace that I think I could have done. Into the race I was feeling quite confident. I made a pretty good start and started catching the cars ahead only to find out that I was only catching them while they were slowing down for another car that was having problems. I took to the grass to avoid everyone but did hit somebody. Sorry to whoever that was. Anyway that put me basically last with a dented bonnet and a slight drop in top speed. Though to be honest I never really noticed what the top speed was. It may well have affected my race though, because of what happened later. Once the race settled down I got into a great battle with several other cars which lasted for the entire race. It was very clean, and very exciting, particularly with Ryan and with Scooby. We had quite different car strengths, so we would gain and lose time on each other around the circuit. It was a challenge but probably the most fun I've had in a race for quite a while. I did notice that both of them had slight incidents behind me coming out of the chicane. I hope that this wasn't caused by me, if I had any lag again I didn't notice any real lag while I was driving and on my screen I didn't see myself hitting anybody, although I came close to the back of the cars a few times. After that I was in a battle to the end with who I thought was Gerard in his Ferrari. But it turned out to be my other new c-type driving buddy; Kayo. He had a great debut race. He had a few moments but held on to them really well. I did get very close on a number of occasions but he braved it out side-by-side around Stowe and into the braking for the chicane. I was a bit surprised again because I thought it was Gerard who I expected to be able to out break there. At one point through Copse (I think) I did slightly bump the side of him causing us both to have a very small moment. I'm really sorry about that. I finally managed to overtake on the inside at Stowe with a couple of laps to go but I drifted a bit wide and I think I forced him a bit wide and possibly offline. I don't think we touched but I think I was a bit reckless. So I slowed down and let him have the place back. We then started our chase again to the end. But in my desperation to get a good run down Hanger Straight I overdid it through Beckets and went off. I then had to fend off Scooby for the last lap or so. So mixed feelings about this one. I wonder if I could have overtaken more easily and lost less time without the startline aero damage. But overall it was a great race and a lot of fun and I'm so glad to finally finish again after all the recent problems. My race view point is here. https://www.youtube.com/live/HAeEWIhKAoU?si=FZSgFY_DJ5qBWWqh

What a battle with Mantas! It lasted for 15 laps. Door-to-door through multiple corners, no contact at all, always on the limit. Thankfully I didn't touch the default setup, so I kept longer gears (only used 2nd and 3rd). Mantas obviously had to put 4th in which killed his momentum on Hangar and before the chicane, so I could hold on a bit longer. But then I made a completely unnecessary and avoidable mistake, touched the grass and ended up in a wild spin. That killed the fight with Mantas. But even the rest wasn't boring thanks to Collins' company. I'd be happier if that battle with Mantas continued through the whole race, but I only have myself to blame. Nevermind. The "value for money" in this series is brilliant. Almost no training needed and it's always a lot of fun

First time racing with these cars.
Understeer galore (duh), and open diff that likes to make the tyres surface temperature as hot as the sun!
But when you play abit with the weight distribution, it isn't all that too bad...
Qualifying... yeah... it isn't a fast car the Jaguar C Type... like 13th on the grid... oy vey...
Start... nailed the rpm and clutch drop, managed to gain a couple of places untill i was squeezed between cars left and right... When cars spun all around me, giving me some damage because of it... Anyways... off to the races then... kept a good tempo, despite the damage.. First i thought i overtook Teagan, but he was faster on the straight afterwards... Overtook Riley by outbraking him at the chicane... from them on mostly... keeping pace... Untill Robin De Vos, David Purchase and Ryley again started catching up to me and kept on my back... A try here and there to overtake me... but blocking and using different lines kept them behind me... Untill David and I broke away from their group and started fighting against oneanother... It was close at times, we both almost spun at times... but we kept it fair and (mostly) clean...
Overall... a great race! Can't wait for twisty Montjuich!
