If you are getting warnings that you feel are exaggerated or unjust, please post a screenshot where your car was placed, ideally from an external camera and we will look into that.
The few we have received we have looked into seem logical, but without pictures we cannot see the full picture.

Thank you.

The yellow part of the track at the exit of the backstraight, the left turn wich leads to double right and to main straight, well, it is very strange that you get penalised (lap not counting) even if you are on two (right) wheels on the black part of the track.. I could not find any rule how deep I can dive into this turn, but it seems to me just a little bit too sensitive.. on the other part, you can cut the first schicane with no penalty at all, though..

Ironic after watching the COTA race. Didnt know they ever payed attn to track limits Laughing

Here-here to that one, good to know I wasn't alone in thinking that it was a bad race from that perspective, they drove a completely different track to how it was designed :smil20:

Ought to be a good race this one :D

Stop taking so much kerb and you will be fine.

Never put more than 50% of the car on the kerb.

Had a good bit of spare time last night, so I decided to join a practice server for the first time to get an idea of where do I stand compared to other drivers (no plans of racing this round, besides the small fact that no cars are available :D ), picked a March 88C-Cosworth (KRACO, Michael Andretti, sorry for stealing it from its actual driver :hihi: ) and off I went. Took me a lot of laps to get up to speed, and to find where I was lacking, as my top speeds were awful even as I got down to 00s. Putting radiator in 5 seemed to be more important than the boost I used for finally getting inside 59s, seemed to hold just fine with oil temps peaking at 111-112 ºC. I was doing half tank runs with max pressure, and even with a bit of degradation, fastest times would always come in the last laps :conduit: Seems like in the search of top speed I ended up on the low side of downforce, as I had the best topspeed recorded on the liveracers, and I wasn't drafting anybody.

Fuel strategy aside, what boost levels do you need to run for the engine to last the entire distance?

The engine will last the full distance on maximum boost, it's a higher rev limit that does the damage.

Hey, just thought id post this question I have here...

Ive put in 100+ laps and I am finding a very inconsistent track limits. Especially on the exit of turn8(?) (the right hander before the back straight). One lap Ill ride the kerb on exit completely fine and the next lap I have "track limits" come up. Half my car is over the white line and still on the racing track.

However I then noticed something and had a thought.. I went on an outlap and the left right chicane before the last turn I went completely over the kerb, 100% over it and no warning.. nothing... I was only going around 120mph however.

So anyway my question is... Could speed be impacting and dishing out "unfair" warnings on certain corners and especially exits?

Could perhaps one lap on an exit of a turn where you didn't get such great exit speed be okay and the next lap when you nail the exit make the game think "too fast" and hand out a warning?

I may be completely off with this and wrong but was just what I am experiencing so thought id ask Smile

Speed has a factor yes.

I've found that even if you put just one mm on the grass at the back edge of a kerb, you'll get a warning.

And it makes sense to be like that, or else if you spin or go of course because of an accident, you don't get a warning/penalty.

Racing.

It appears though that if the right side tyres are still within limits, so the track limits warning is wrong and the track boundaries slightly skewed.

Not to mention: What happens if two cars go side-by-side, one car squeezes for whatever reason and runs them into the grass or kerb, getting the other driver a strike?

Track limits are the same for everybody. So respect them and there shall be no problems. About racing incidents, this is not the first race we do with track limits.
