Richard Coxon, how tough is that Aston Martin EMC C83 engine?
The engine turns low in 5 gear at 5800 RPM and the engine temperature is very hot, 111 degrees, even with the radiator opening all open.
Is this normal? The engine turns up to 7250 rpm but above 5000 rpm it heats up a lot, not allowing the use of the engine potential.

The engine should be okay for the temperature it is hitting. Don't worry too much, the race is short.

Please, any administrator who has access to mark back as invalid and exclude lap times with the Porsche 956 in LiveRacers?

Due to the errors we had when we ran the Procar race, we have taken measures to make sure we have a back up plan should the same issues arise again.

Firstly, EVERYONE WHO IS TAKING PART in the Gold Star race this Sunday must download this back up track, this way it will guarantee as little time lost as possible should we need to switch tracks.

This track is the rFactor version of Hockenheim 1988.

The second change is to the time table, so that qualifying will not be affected we have included a practice session in the hope that if any issues are going to arise, it will happen during practice and we can switch tracks before qualifying has begun, the new time table is on the first thread, i have included a copy here.

20:00 - Practice
20:40 - Qualifying
21:00 - Warm-up and Drivers’ briefing
21:10 - Race start (23 laps)

Just a reminder to those it may affect, the clocks have now gone forward in Europe, so the timings will be back to normal for the America’s.

The rolling start will be given behind a human driven white Porsche 928 that will act as pace car. 

All instructions will be given in the chat, so be sure to have it enabled in driving view.

- When the light goes green, stay stopped at the track until the pace car overtakes the field and you see the message "start formation lap"

- Form the grid in parallel when you see the message "Form grid" in the chat.

- The green flag will be given with a message in the chat as "Green flag", when the safety car enters the pits at the end of the formation lap.

The Alba's won here with the old original physics.

I had prepared this race a lot, and a problem at an entry and out in lap 3

that really sucks, and you had a great qual too.

i finally killed my shifter, tried to figure out a way to work around it and make it to the finish, but to no avail.

I had to make a pitstop, the car would only do 16 laps.
Then the engine give up with about 4 laps to go. It was not overheating although I was pushing it at the time.

Well that was a great event even though I messed my strategy up by being dense


In warm up I practised a pitstop. Had 95l when coming into the box and had selected to fill 60l up.. 17 seconds and thinking hmm this could work.. Not realising that 17 seconds is for that 5l to make it to 100l

So when I pit for 60l in the race I was looking at 69 seconds..

Great racing though.. Richard pulled probably the bravest move ive seen this year
