**HSO Ruling | Ontario**

After viewing the replay of the California 500, the following ruling has been made.

John Thim is issued a warning for blocking David Jaques on lap 107.  Thim changed his line abruptly on the main straight when Jaques was attempting to overtake him.  This is considered blocking and is not acceptable driving practice on an oval.  The lead driver gets to choose a line and position on track, but is not entitled to change said line in a sudden move to avoid being overtaken.  Repeat instances of this type of driving will draw disciplinary action from the league.
