| It's down to preference. I scheduled it so that it's up to what each driver wants to do but no forced pit stop. | |

That's strange... Try it without the sound-pack, it could be as simple as a clashing engine sound of some kind causing the issue. If that doesn't work I'll ask for advice from our modders

Had to install completely new because of new harddisk/steam version. Worked well with all the files, Sound on all cars.

Sometimes the mod comes with one extra subfolder, check that all folders and sounds landed where intended.

| Thanks.....Tried/checked everything as recommended (to the best of my mental capacity) and can't see anything amiss. Same prob with the Starion) I get the tire squeal and the gearbox whine and crunch)
I'll try a new install, and check at each stage....

| Mick, go to the folder:
GameData/Vehicles/TCL/Alfa GTV
and find the file:
GTV6.SFX
Cut and copy it to the main TCL folder, i.e.
GameData/Vehicles/TCL
And see if you have sounds now.
Same thing will work for the Starion, the file is this time: Starion.SFX

| I tried that......no joy....Before that I tried to roll back as far as post TCL instal, and try at each stage, but I have kind of lost myself. (If anyone finds me....please return.)
So, it will have to be a fresh instal for now, then follow your instructions.
One thing, I am unsure of that I may have done wrong.....
The "TCL 1.1 all in one.exe"..... I ran it to "unpack" in the same folder I downloaded it to (Documents>TCL) where it created a gamedata and rfm folder. Was I supposed to run the exe "unpacking it directly into my rF instal?
Thanks

Mick are you using an rFactor lite install ? if so then you need to download the standard sounds which are not in rFactor lite.hope that helps, also there was a version 1255F patch that cured sound problems.

Sorted......What I was not using, was my brain......so I used someone else's. Sorry to have waisted your time, and thanks. (What I did not do - "You will also need the sound pack to get all the engine sounds and the BMW 635 Fix.".....because it was all in one line, I thought both these was just the one and the same. So I completely overlooked the sound pack. Again...Thanks for help. Now just to get my Alfa time down to the Holden. Maybe a swap Michal.....then you will know what slow is?

Try turning right then. I thought my pace wasn't bad so far but the Rovers have given me some work to do. Let's say the car's size isn't really suited for the hairpins, and there's quite a few of them here.
