| Indianapolis 500 --> DOWNLOAD RACE DAY LODS <-- --> DOWNLOAD RACE DAY GDB <-- --> DOWNLOAD RACE DAY RFM <-- --> HOTLAPS <-- The winner receives the 12" Gary Bettenhausen Memorial Trophy, pictured above Additional forum honors: Bob Wilson Sportsmanship Award, Rookie of the Year and the Jigger Award Race Day Schedule
Sunday May 20th All participants must have a car booked in the Race Entry List. Only the fastest 33 cars will be allowed to start the race. In the event that less than 33 qualified on May 13th, the remainder of the field will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis on Race Day. In the event that 33 qualified and there were drivers too slow to make the 33 car field, up to three alternates will be named (34th, 35th and 36th fastest) for Race Day, in the case that one or more of the qualified cars do not appear. All times given are Paris time
20h00 - Warm up session for race 20h15 - Opening ceremonies and drivers briefing 20h30 - Race Start | 200 laps (after 2 pace laps) Server no: 91.121.135.76: 34410Password is: hso74A training server is now running 24/7 (same password)**Drivers are strongly advised to run with virtual mirrors on****Drivers are required to set their PLR file so they can exit the race immediately by hitting ESC** - Code:
-
Exit Confirmation="0" // 0=none, 1=race only, 2=always The following rules will be observed during the race: The race will commence via a rolling start behind a pace car with the traditional eleven rows of three. A designated HSO member will be driving the 1974 Hurst Oldsmobile Pace Car. The following start procedure will occur: - The race server is set for 202 laps, the extra two laps being the pace laps.
- All drivers, including the pace car driver, join the grid during the countdown; The pace car will be lined up in front.
- After the countdown, the race clock will start, at which point the admin in charge of the race types "START FORMATION LAP." This is the pace car driver's cue to start the pace laps; the field can roll away ONLY when the pace car starts to roll away.
- Drivers are advised to conduct the pace laps in second gear; higher gears produce more turbocharger lag, making it more difficult to maintain grid position.
- The pace car, cruising at apx 100 MPH, completes the lap, then starts the 2nd pace lap and at the backstretch the admin types: "HOLD FORMATION, GREEN NEXT TIME AROUND" so that everybody gets close, 3-wide and ready.
- Exiting turn 4, the pace car leaves for the pits and the admin types "GREEN FLAG" -- the race is now on regardless of whether cars have crossed the start/finish line.
- This will be the only occasion where the pace car is on the track during the event.
No full course yellows will be used in this race. No pit speed limit will be enforced, but drivers are advised to enter and exit the pits in a careful manner. **Fuel Allotment Rule** Drivers cannot use more than 280 gallons of methanol fuel in the race. This is equivalent to starting the race with a full tank and completely refueling six times. While there is no limit on how many times a car can stop during the race, the admins will be checking the final results to ensure that drivers have not exceeded the 280 gallon allotment. This will be accomplished by adding fuel tank percentages taken on during the race to the tank percentage started with; the total should not exceed 700% of onboard fuel capacity. Drivers must get at least 1.8 miles per gallon during the race in order to finish without exceeding the fuel allotment. Drivers found to have exceeded the fuel allotment will be disqualified post-race. Pit Entry and Exit Procedures
During the race, cars entering the pits must fade left briefly on the backstretch to signal their intent to pit. This rule will only apply if a car or cars are running immediately behind the pitting car. Failure to follow this procedure could result in a post-race penalty.
During the race, cars exiting the pits must keep all four wheels under the yellow and white lines until they exit turn two, then they can blend into race traffic. Failure to follow this procedure could result in a post-race penalty. Behaviour on track
A few behaviour rules :
- as for all HSO races, it is required you use your real name both in-game and on the forum. Thank you.
- Chatting is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in race session. It is allowed in qualifying sessions for technical issues only.
- Drive Through : If a driver has to do a drive through, even if there is no pit lane speed limit, he has to drive through the pitlane at 100km/h max (60mph). If he doesn't respect this, he will get a 30s penalty at the end of the race.
- If you have a spin on the course, it is YOUR responsibility to make sure the track is sufficiently clear before you rejoin the race.
- If you have an accident that you cannot recover from (lost wheel), please hit escape immediately so as to minimize the chance of involving other cars.
- Respect the red condition at the end of the pitlane. Application and Interpretation of the Regulations The admins alone are qualified to solve any problems raised by the application and the interpretation of the present regulations.
