I fitted the turbo from my T88 which is still parked on the infield.
Gerard Ryon gave me a good setup, a huge help because I was 6/10 slower with my own ideas.

The one 8,000 mile east. We spend time in Delhi and Ranchi, where the ceremony will be held.

Any other Dodge drivers have their Gears locked?
With the default setup, I can only adjust the Final drive.
But with the setup that Scott has shared with me, I can adjust 1st and 2nd, but 3rd and 4th are locked and are identical gears. If I try to adjust 1st, it will open up 3rd, but it locks 1st, and then if I adjust 2nd, it locks out the others.
This on my end or a bug?

Did Scott send you a Dodge or a Ford setup? When I got a set from Gerard the graph with gear ratios only showed 3 gears.
When starting from scratch I can only adjust the final drive in the Dodge.

GMs and Fords have additional ratios to choose from, taken from real-life options (it seems) for the Muncie and Toploader, respectively. Mopars have to make do with fixed ratios, although I seem to recall they actually had some optional ratios to use

Ok, so, Im pretty unfamilliar with stock car driving technique.. could I get some hints?
Am I supposed to drift in turns, or to keep car straight? How about shifting, do I shift down/up, or similar to all oval racers, one gear to the end?
I guess drag and fuel consuption can be reduced while following a car in front, that much Im aware of
And what about setup, should I turn to un-symetrical, same as for open wheelers?
thank you in advance.. Im pretty new here, tbh, never drove stock cars before, nor historical, nor modern ones.. closest I was to that is Cruse/Duvall/Kidman, but since it was not much after Top Gun, I stuck to Tomcats more than to those thunder machines...

You've driven open wheelers on ovals. This is the same game, but slower.
Unsymmetrical setup as usual. I only use 4th gear with a ratio to keep the engine just below the red line when drafting.
And please try not to drive them like Tom Cruise.

Hey! Has anyone tried pitting in "race" mode? (Like trying some laps with the AI?) On-line or off-line?
I stop half-way through a fuel stint and the crew will not fill the tank. The maximum three stops are specified on the setup page with full fuel load each time.
I'm curious to know if anyone else has tried this. Is it just me? Or are we being visited by a ghost from USAC'73?

You missed the pit entrance Scott. It seems to be pretty tight so aim for dead center of the entry point.
Raul - the car slows dramatically when drifting so don't do that for speed. In traffic, drifting can promptly turn into a long uncontrolled spin so beware.

Scott, I've noticed that regardless of what fuel strategy you have set in your setup, it defaults to something much smaller than 22 gallons. I've had to manually bump it up 22 gallons in the cockpit to get the crew to fill it.

Oh sorry I misread. Caffein levels were too low. Open pit menu and raise fuel request from 13 to 83 liters. Issue solved.

You are welcome. I have my AI strength set at 105% and can get some great draft/passing practice starting at the rear of the field. With the new HSO rules about causing too many yellows I'd recommend everyone practice this a lot.
