| Thank you everyone for your help in these tests, they were very revealing in terms of what administrative needs we will have on race day.
We are finalizing the start procedure and we will make sure to explain it thoroughly before race day.

| For the last time SET A SHORTER 1ST GEAR THAT ALLOWS YOU GETTING TO SPEED QUICKER.
Hint: You have to start moving when you see the sync clock reach zero, not when the car in front starts. That helps a lot avoiding warnings.

| Ok, just few things, I think were missunderstood, maybe could serve to you, admins..
First start we had, everyhting was ok with "Stay behind car in front of you..." Restarts were all with "Stay behind SC", but I was in a last row, and I was getting the "End of the line message" Last start I did (When Jason asked about messages) was again ok, so, I got "Stay behind the car in front of you" - (I was not talking about driving behind SC during full course yellow - which I think Jason think I was).
My appologies for two crashis I provoked.. First one was becose I made a change with setup, and on restart I lost my car. Second one I was really trying to get everybody satisfied - server pointed me to the end of the line, last car (Jason) stayed far behind, I was sure you (Jason) was about to restart the race becose of Michaels crash on startup, and in all that confusion I hit (somebody).. My first crash ever was not my fault, Hull jumped in front of me and launched me in the air... I was driving straight with nowhere to go.
Sorry for wasting your time. Ill do my best to avoid mess on race day.

| It's pretty clear that once we roll away, the game is going to hand out longest line or stop and go penalties no matter how hard we try to keep it from happening. The good news is that we have two extra laps for people to either clear the penalty with the aid of an admin or come to the pits, serve the penalty and then rejoin the field in the proper place. Two whole laps at 100 mph gives us a lot of time to take care of this.
On the subject of driver maturity, there are four drivers right now that I have serious concerns about: Drechsler, Bos, Jereb and Hull. Hull's lack of experience can explain his repeated early lap crashes, but the other three don't have that excuse to fall back on. Quite honestly, I am in agreement with Richard. It looks as if you three have never driven online before. It's that concerning.
Another important item -- some of you are weaving back and forth to try and break slipstream; this is not acceptable. If we see people doing this during the race, post-race penalties may result.

Well, I admit Im struggling with my car setup, and it is the main reason I crashed.. I relly didnt think its THAT concerning. Again, Im sorry for disturbing you, Ill do my best to make the car as stable as possible and competitive.

Is it purely accident related or does it also concern my driving in a field of cars? I've been spending too much time monitoring my engine life rather than concentrating on keeping it away from the wall. I don't think I've ever crashed more cars than this week. I'm going to add more cooling, stop worrying about it and focus on driving it. The setup Jacob sent me is fine, and the engine seems to cope well enough. I'm not going to drive like an idiot on Sunday. I achieved my best results at HSO in long races by keeping out of trouble and that's my plan for Indy too.

| Here are THE three keys to the race!
#1: If you are not completely comfortable with starting the car rolling from stand-still, practice, practice, practice, until you are. THE ENTIRE WORLD WILL BE WATCHING! And 32 other drivers are counting on your ability to drive a manual-shift machine. Stalling it or spinning it -- embarrassing? Worse than you know! If practicing that's the ONLY thing you do on Saturday, your time is well spent.
#2: Everybody knows this race is 200 laps/500 miles! THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO BE GAINED FROM A "GOOD" START! Your only goal is to get away cleanly and not take anyone else out. Even if you jump someone faster than you, it will not last more than two laps. The risk of making an ass of yourself is far greater than if you remain reasonable and survive to compete later in the day.
#3: Drive with your mother's judgment! For at least the first 150 laps, don't make any moves that would make her gasp and beat you with her purse. In order to win, you must be around for the last 50 laps to have any chance. That includes forcing two or three-wide into a corner, trying to cut the aprons, not lifting in traffic, and charging pit road at 200mph when you're not absolutely sure there are no other cars entering or leaving their stall. The poorest judgment and will end your day early.
Our more experienced drivers already know how to do all of this and, to them, I apologize for wasting this space. But there are several who have very fast and dangerous cars with a potential to win. As someone who does not have one of those rides, I would hate to see the machinery wasted because someone was driving with false bravado or "gamers' instincts". And there are several others, for whatever reason, sitting outside the fence with me.
HSO has provided a marvelous opportunity for you 33 drivers to experience one of the most classic races in history. If you haven't prepared accordingly, please have discretion enough to drive responsibly and not ruin someone else's hopes.
