Because refueling was banned from 1983 to 1994. Quite sure you can't refuel in qualifying either.

Fuel cannot be added to the car while in the pitlane, you have to ESC to the garage during qualifying Didier.
You must run enough fuel to make it through the race too as refueling during the is banned.

OK Richard, thank you
I was asking this question because when I fill the tank completely, it shows 45 laps, while the run counts 82 laps

i roughly worked out the amount i need and the the laps left estimate doesn't seem accurate. best to work it out yourself and ignore the estimate i think.

rFactor fuel predictions are usually very wrong. I'd ignore them and use on the the HUD's available to get an accurate fuel reading. XD (Link here: http://www.virtualr.net/xd-212-released) would be my reccomendation as it is very simple compared to GID. It Will also give you more info on the engine and tire life.

Got a problem with the quali tyres. By the time I arrived on T1 they've lost nearly 20° of heat . And they never regain them. On every corner the tyres lose around 1° . On brake lockup they don't heat at all At best with the R i'm around 75° top. On Q it's only 80°. I'm 30° cooler than their ideal temp . Basically they're useless for me as the car became very slippery all along the track.
Globaly I never managed to get the ideal temp. My tyres are always cooler than it. It's always between 5 to 10° cooler (depending of the type) than ideal. But I don't see how I could change that

for more imersion for the broadcast get rid of the high tech gid and use the 91tvstyle pesonaly i only use xd/gid for setting the car up , for the real race i shut it down no risk of ctdp and drive on the stock hud

I've found why my tyres were so cool. I wasn't using the high torque of the engine to its potential . Using it as it should be, the tyres are much closer to the optimal temp, especially the qualy tyres. Well in fact they're now cooking a bit. But I know how to balance that. I've to adapt a bit my driving style and the set. Then the 1.27 barreer will surely be breached on the server very soon. I've already done a 1.26.8 offline. And they're room to improve.
Still the Ligier lacks of top speed. It's 15 to 20 km/h slower than the other cars but the Ford powered. Get the Chevy block out of that car guys Not really a problem at Phoenix but at Interlagos and it's two straight it will become quite an issue in qualifications.

Looking good for Brazil with a 1:20:3 on race set, but a 1:14 in Q will be difficult. Made little improvent with Motec. My damper settings in general looks strange altough the car feels good. Phoenix is another thing, but lets hope for 26th on the grid

TVStyle is also problematic for me, even if I run rF as an administrator. I appreciate the thought, though. We will be doing other things to enhance immersion, like the 1991 FIA animated logo and the BBC grid music.

Thank you for appreciating Daniel(UK)'s voice Also, I will have to run GID because TVStyle makes my rFactor crash on startup and the config program gives me debug errors when trying to preview stuff
