But now some people have the option of using soft,medium and hards where as some of us are just stuck with hards so its still not right or fair. The main reason I chose the Mazda was because it was easier to drive consistantly with the Q tyres on, now last minute thats been taken away.

Well qualifying tires are not meant for a race so I don't know why you would have based your strategy on that anyway ? Best thing would have been, like Ricard did, to point out this mistake from the modders to us. Sure we should have spotted that earlier, that'll teach us to blindly trust the VLM modders I guess. Won't happen again for sure.

I'm all for the restriction of the quali tyres, but then why should some drivers be limited to only hard tyres whereas others get a choice of softs and hards (I haven't checked if they do, but am taking Alan's word for it )

That's the way the mod is made mate It was like that when we announced the series and when you all booked cars. The only thing our patch did is remove these non-realistic qualifying tires for the cars which had them.

If we took all the other compounds out, It could possibly be unfair on Some cars, looking at the files in the mod, some cars need to soft tires to go just as quick as some on hard.

Not all hard tires are the same in the mod, Some have more grip than others, Some wear quicker than others. But as Frank said, It is the way the mod was made.

Fair enough, I agree And I did find it weird that after a 30 lap stint on quali tyres, the my fastest lap was 1.08.750 after 27 laps

If the mod had the correct qualy tire wear in the first place, nobody would ever have been able to do the race on them. Yeah you could have gotten a better grid position, but that is all (And given the boost they give, you would have lost that position quickly to be back to your real place).

Complaining about not being able to benefit from what everybody agrees is a bug in the mod is, at the very least, not very respectful towards the other drivers or sportive.

Go race the mod, it is great so I'm sure after the event you will see things differently
