| 1988 BRDC C2 Championship This series will be run with the Virtual_LM GTPC mod for rFactor. You will also need the no qualifying tires patch. Car SelectionThe field is divided in two classes featuring 15 different models of cars for a total of 30 available entries. Class A (18 cars) : ADA 01 (1 car), Alba AR2 (4 cars), Alba AR3 (3 cars), Cougar C12 (1 car), De Cadenet Lola (2 cars), Rondeau M379C (4 cars), URD C81 (1 car), URD C81/2 (1 car), URD C82 (1 car) Class B (12 cars) : Alba AR4 (1 car), Harrier RX83C (1 car), Lola T616 (2 cars), Mazda 717C (1 car), Mazda 727C (3 cars), Mazda 737C (4 cars), Car selection is free. However, admins can refuse a car to a given driver if he is judged too fast for it or if his simracing level is unknown. Each driver must keep the same car for the duration of the championship. Changing of car will be tolerated under exceptional circumstances only. A driver missing two races in a row without any explanation on the forum, will have his car freed and made available for someone else to book. Championship RulesThe championship will be run over 6 meetings. Each meeting will feature a single race of 45 to 60 minutes depending on events. The qualifying or Grand Prix engines upgrades will not be allowed, whether in practice, qualifying or race session. Drivers breaking this rule will be disqualified from the event. Points SystemThe first six of each class will receive the following points : 9-6-4-3-2-1. All the starting cars will be classified and are eligible for points. There will be one drivers’ championship combining the points from the two classes. All results will count at the end of the season (no dropped scores). Event ScheduleAll meetings will be held on Wednesday nights (all times given as CET) 20:00 – Qualifying 20:50 – Warm-up and drivers’ briefing 21:00 – Race start Race server password : hso88Starts will be given flying, after one formation lap. Race Start Procedure--> Reconnaissance Laps <--Once the reconnaissance laps procedure is over and everybody is on the grid, the green lights giving the start will be shown. This will however be the signal for the beginning of our formation lap, which drivers will cover at low speed (around 150 kph / 90 mph). Do not overtake, stay packed, no more than 2 or 3 car lengths between each car. Zigzaging to warm up your tires is not allowed. After the last turn, cars will keep rolling at reduced speed in the starting grid formation, so remember your side of the grid. When the leading car will be in sight of the start/finish line, an admin will give the real start of the race by typing "GREEN FLAG" in the chat. Overtake before crossing the start/finish line is allowed. Before the green flag, drivers should remain in a grid formation, as shown below : Training ServerA training server running on the next scheduled track will be online permanently. Password : hso88Behaviour on trackA few behaviour rules : - as for all HSO races, it is required you use your real name both in-game and on the forum. Thank you. - Chatting is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in race session. It is allowed in qualifying sessions for technical issues only. - Drive Through : If a driver has to do a drive through, even if there is no pit lane speed limit, he has to drive through the pitlane at 100km/h max (60mph). If he doesn't respect this, he will get a 30s penalty at the end of the race. - Shortcuts : If a driver gains a position after shortcutting a turn, he is required to give it back as soon as possible. In the case where a driver would not do it rapidly, a 30-second penalty will be added to his total race time. In the event of abusive and intentional shortcutting, severe sanctions will be applied (up to definitive a ban from the league). To make sure you never shortcut a turn, try to always keep two wheels on the track. - Respect the red light at the end of the pitlane. Application and Interpretation of the RegulationsThe admins alone are qualified to solve any problems raised by the application and the interpretation of the present regulations.

| By the way Richard, the rotary class will have a winner? That will count as a race victory for the driver in question? | |

| You will have to go on the waiting list for a regular car for the season Mate, For this race you can race Yannick's Rondeau as he is absent from round 1 | |

| To the admins,
I installed the mod yesterday afternoon. This mod is a master piece, love the small details and the menu also. Spent 2 hours with practicing and tried a lot of things in the setup menu. Did around 50 laps.
I drove Yannick's car, which have qualy and hard tires too.
With low fuel and qualy tires, my pb is a high 06 so far. (24h engine) With 50 litres of fuel and hard tires, my pb is a high 08 in the first 5 laps. Not have time yet for long stints....
During my last night practice, I recognised, that the tire wear is very low, even with the qualy tires. I did high 08s with race fuel and qualy tires in the first 5 laps. (24h engine) My biggest tire wear was on the left rear, which was 0.22 after 5 laps!!! I'm using XD hud. Maximum tire wear is around 30-35. So 0.22 after 5 laps is nothing. I can easely do 60 laps with qualy tires. Richard Wilks told me on the server, that some of the cars not have qualy tires. In this case I think the admins should make a rule for the tire choice. Otherwise there will be unfair differences between some cars.
Its just a suggestion from me...

| Were looking into all options Mate, It will be hard to forbid the use of Q tires as there is no way (That we have found, Yet) to police if people are using them. | |

| I was just checking the rules again (just to remind me of what's what) when I noticed "no qualy" tires patch........which I haven't installed as I don't have qualy tires anyway.....then I get to the previous posts...
I am just curious of reference to "no qualy tires patch" was always there and I missed it, or was added later................MOT IMPORTANT THOUGH.

| Very poor decision to issue a patch that fundamentally changes the series just hours before the race, having spent quite abit of time over the last few days practicing with the Mazda on quali tyres to get upto a pace that I was hopeful would allow me to at least compete with the tail of the pack am hugely disappointed to see the rules changed last minute that will probably mean I'm well off the pace |

On the other hand, you have drivers such as myself and others who perhaps would have made different car choices had they known qualifying tires were not a universal upgrade. I agree that it is not ideal in any way to release a patch on the day of the race itself, but the alternatives of postponing the race or continuing with uneven performance levels in the cars are worse IMO.

Indeed, we had to chose between the lesser of two evils here
