| I looked at that mod, and it's like it's a F1 mod from the 80's with lowres CART skins on it. Maybe someone will enjoy these on road courses, but it's useless on ovals, since there aren't the wings for it. _________________ http://newarchive.simjunkies.org/discussion/9582/asj-f1-1982-race-4 | |

| Yeah those look like ripped F1s, nothing to do with the real shape of the 1986 champ cars. _________________ | |

Too bad but it wouldn't be a big big problem for me if the physics/sounds/skins were great, after all the cars looked a bit alike (the 1985 RAM is a good choice I think).

| In 1985 you had mainly two different Indycars on track (Plus testimonial version of previous year's March and the Eagle), so I don't think it should be that hard to model those. And I would really like to see such a mod What about starting with that Alessio? _________________ | |

| Yes 2.65-litres turbocharged engines Dale Coyne used a stock-block atmo Chevy V8 iirc but all the others had turbocharged engines - mostly Cosworth DFX, but also the first in a great line of V8 Chevrolet Ilmor engines and also the odd V6 Buick and V8 Judd too. _________________ Thou shalt not train.

| Instead making a patch-up job, it will be better to do a great model from scratch Why? Because we can do everything when we can model and there are less and less from scratch modeller _________________ Vivemclaren - 3D Modeller - Virtua_LM

I can't access the thread, I'm not registered in that forum. Were the physics done purposedly for the mod, or ripped from an F1 mod? _________________

Cosworth all the way! http://www.racing-reference.info/race/1985_Indianapolis_500/R Or rather, just a few Buick's, Coyne's stock block, and the Eagle-Chevrolets I'm not really sure about what config they were in. The Ilmor-Chevrolet and Judd-Honda projects started in 1986. _________________ "I'm going for first!" "...the man's an animal..."Happy and proud 1988 CART Champion! ~ 2017

I haven't tried them on track, but I opened the files and saw many things I didn't like. Maybe cars feel great later however, dunno _________________
