| 1973 Trentonian Split 300 => DOWNLOAD TRACK <= => HOTLAPS <= For this open event, we will use HSO 1973 Championship Cars v1.0 Both heats will be contested on the 1.5 mile Trenton International Speedway Event ScheduleSunday March 29th Participants must book their car in the Entry List prior to race day All times given are CET: 19h00 - Practice session (please select speedway configuration) 20h00 - Private qualifying session (4 laps -- 1 out lap, 2 qualifying laps, 1 in lap) 20h05 - Warmup session to allow switch to race engines and grid placement 20h20 - Heat 1 - 100 laps 21h20 - 15 minute break 21h35 - Heat 2* - 100 laps (grid determined by finishing order of Heat 1) *If you DNF in Heat 1, you can still start Heat 2 Drivers on the reserve list may ask to drive cars that become vacant after Heat 1 Game name is: Historic Simracing USAC73 Password is: hso73A training server will be running 24/7 (same password) Race Start Procedure and Full Course YellowThe start for both heats will be given rolling behind the game-controlled pace-car. This race will utilize the Full Course Yellow procedure. When rFactor judges that a situation is risky (a car stopped on the track, a spin on a speedway etc..), he will throw a Yellow Flag. From the time this Yellow Flag is thrown, overtaking is forbidden, but if you have doubt about your position, rFactor will tell you where you have to be when you will cut the start/finish line. At the same time the pit lane will be closed, it will be open again for the cars in the lead lap after one full lap behind the Safety Car. For the cars which are a lap or more down, they will have to wait another lap. rFactor will tell you in the chat all this information (don't deactivate in-car chat). When the Safety Car is out, you must keep a normal pace until you reach the the line of cars behind the SC. Otherwise you'll get a penalty. Same when you exit the pit lane under yellow, you have to be quick enough to rejoin the SC.Full Course Yellow will last between 3 or 5 laps each time.(!) On an oval track the leader will have to be careful to not overtake the Safety Car when the latter is exiting the pit lane. (!)Drivers must be single file for the restart.Once the green is given, passing can occur regardless of where you are (green to the front is green to the field). You may try to get a run on someone as you anticipate the green flag, but DO NOT pass before the green is given.Behaviour on trackA few behaviour rules :- as for all HSO races, it is required you use your real name both in-game and on the forum. Thank you.- Chatting is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN in race session. It is allowed in qualifying sessions for technical issues only.- Shortcuts : If a driver gains a position after shortcutting a turn, he is required to give it back as soon as possible. In the case where a driver would not do it rapidly, a 30-second penalty will be added to his total race time. In the event of abusive and intentional shortcutting, severe sanctions will be applied (up to definitive a ban from the league). To make sure you never shortcut a turn, try to always keep two wheels on the track.- Drivers exiting the pits must keep all four wheels under the painted line until they reach the back straight, then they can merge with race traffic. This rule applies under both green and yellow flag conditions.- DO NOT enter the track under a red conditionApplication and Interpretation of the RegulationsThe admins alone are qualified to solve any problems raised by the application and the interpretation of the present regulations.

| Wow these are a handful. To anyone who hasn't tried these yet, here's two of Josh's Top Tips from a little running I did: 1) Stay a good way away from the rev limiter. You hit the redline for more than a second in these, your engine's gone. No room for negotiation, it's just gone. You spin and redline for a second? Engine blown. 2) Your biggest problem, like more modern Indycars too, will be getting the thing started and stopped. 700+HP isn't easy to get off the line or slow down without wheelspin/locking, but is a lot easier to drive round an oval once you're up to speed. | |

| Entry list is now full; people are welcome to sign up as reserves in case someone cancels or does not appear on race day. If a car becomes vacant after heat 1, a reserve driver may ask to hop in it for heat 2. | |

| Seeing how the engines perform, Offy v Chevy v Ford, will be interesting to see -- and should provide valuable info ahead of the 500 in May. | |
