1971 F1 mod will be very popular here I'm sure! I think Gui has a plugin here that ignites moderator keyboards if we type anything that suggests acceptance of an LE addition." "Oh that sounds fun!" < WOOOOOF > - Leo Menegucci wrote:

Is there a mod in particular that you are thinking of? I love CanAm racing. I may be the new carrier of the WS70 torch as I think Gui was the biggest supporter. I love the mod.

| Unfortunately all the Can-Am mods I know of are incomplete (no full carset for a year) and have either no physics or LE physics Great shame since first generation Can-Am racing is something we've wanted to do since like for ever | |

How about Trans-am?
@Alberto, yes there was, never tried it was based on the 1971 season I believe.

| I never tried the GPL Can-Am mod, but (with all respect due to the King of Sims ) GPL's limit of 19 cars per server does not go well with the Can-Am spirit of 30+ cars grids... Plus I don't think we could even find 12 guys ready to do a Can-Am season with GPL About Trans-Am we have full carsets in HGT&TC 1.95, but the races in the pony cars era of 1966-72 were 3-hour solo drives and for this too I think we'd have a hard time finding more than 12 drivers ! We did do an Open in 2012 that went well, but I don't think a full series would work... | |

Oh I just suggested it in case he wanted to try offline, I know you already discarded it for HSO some time ago - Quote :

Agree I hope anyway that we will get at least an open, though how enjoyable it is depends partly on the track used ... some tracks are really a heavy workout while others do not require that much effort and have more margin for errors. I don't think you can compare f.e. Laguna Seca (JP version ) and Riverside in that regard

| I can't check right now but I'm pretty sure there are loads of Trans-Am skins of Stangs and Camaros, plus a lot of Javelins, Cudas and Challengers. Our Open in Mont-Tremblant only had real Trans-Am pony skins. Really one of the (few) progress between 1.0 and 1.9 ^^ | |

And even fictional skins The historic ones are also a mix of several seasons of the 70s, but overall I would say there are around 70% of the 1972 season skins there. Many Camaros and some Mustangs missing, but there rest is OK. The Javelins, even if they are 71 it's the same skin, Challengers and Cudas are correct, and the main Mustangs are there.

I found one, dont know if there are others around There is also a SlimJim's based on the same models from this one. I'll test it and give some feedback, but no problem if they are not worth, there are still plenty of rust buckets to race. F5000s were raced in North America right? Skin pack anywhere?

| Formula A/5000 was born in America yes, but they raced all over the World : Oceania, Europe, South Africa. Our 1972 version of the mod has skins from the US, Euro and Tasman series . | |

| You have two more weeks to vote in the poll about the switch from Wednesday to Thursday. But considering the results so far it seems very unlikely that "a vast majority" of the votes will eventually go to Thursday. So most likely we will keep Wednesday in 2014 for our week day racing night... | |
