| Version françoise, voir ci-dessous.OK so it's that time of the year again when we must start and think about the next season A few changes are happening behind the scenes and a few points need to be explained a bit. Your vote is also sought after on one of these subjects. I tried to be as consise as possible, but thanks for taking the time to read this announcement . The financial situationAs you all probably know now (see here if not), Guillaume is following Antoine into retirement at the end of the present season. This means we are down from four admins when we created HSO to two for 2014. While we (Martin and me) are committed to running a 2014 season following the standards of the previous HSO ones on the sporting side, the financial aspect of it all is more problematic. Simply put, since the costs have not changed and the number of investors has been divided by two = each investor must put up twice the amount he initially had to . The costs of running the league (server, site, forum) amount to around €1,000 for the year. As of today, assuming these costs by our lonesomes is more than we can afford. Donations from many of our members in the past years have always been a great help for us . So, with the deadline to pay the bills approaching, we humbly remind you that you can help HSO live by making a donation, even a symbolic one, via the Paypal button on the site. ThursdaysAs the UEFA did not answer to our request to postpone every football game in general, and Champions League ones in particular, from Wednesday to Thursday nights, we will make this move ourselves at HSO . There have been several races in the past which have suffered of a low attendance because of an important football game playing on the telly, so we have been contemplating a change of our weekday race night for a while. If a vast majority of our members agrees, we will make this move in 2014. So please gives us your advice and vote in the poll attached to this thread. Thanks HSO AmericasIn a move initiated by HSO regular Mike Becnel, we will try and expand the league in the Americas next year. The idea is to provide HSO quality races to simracers in that part of the world, at a time more convenient than the ones they have to commit to for our European-based events. The HSO Americas part of the league will run its own schedule, with some of the series mirroring that of the main league and possibly others exclusively raced in the American part of the league. A new category of the forum dedicated to this new venture will soon be made public. The complete program of HSO Americas will be revealed in a few weeks, together with the rest of the 2014 HSO program. The first step towards this move will be an Open event to be announced in the next days and following the pattern we'd like to establish for 2014 : it will be held twice the same day - once at European time and another at American time. Mike will be in charge of the day-to-day running of HSO Americas, with another of our esteemed members from the USA, Jason White, as co-admin. The name "America s" says what is says : we'd like as much as possible to try and gather simracers from both North and Latin/South America, so don't hesitate to spread the good news if you know people in these parts ! 2014 SeasonIt's too early to divulgate any particularities, but here are the general lines of the plan for next year : - Two races per week on Thursday and Sunday nights. - rFactor mods : HGTTC 1.95, Touring Car Legends, 1987 Group C, 1972 F5000, 1976 F.Atlantic. Other mods will be used, including hopefully the excellent ones actually being developped by our dear HSO members Ben Paulet and Jason White ! The new 1965 F1 mod is another strong possibility, and rFactor2 will hopefully have enough historic content for us to race with it. There will be only one yearly championship, with the other series run either at the first or second semestre. Several Open events will be held as usual, including some old school endurance races. The complete 2014 program will be made available in a few weeks time, so stay tuned for another season of time travelling through racing history with HSO ! Thanks for your attention,

| Doesn't really affect me which day we race on in the week, but I purely voted for Thursday because as you said, More chance of more people being present.
I'm guessing a F1 mod of some kind will be used for the yearly series, And as for Rf2, Not seen much stuff for it (mods) But I ain't been looking as my computer cries like a girl when it tries to run it!

| Given a donation just to help out, not much but something to say thank you for putting on these great championships! Definitely something different compared to what most rFactor leagues give you. Because of commitments to other leagues, and after taking a strong liking to racing regularly on iRacing, I'll only be around for a few series. Another TCL would definitely interest me after having to miss the previous one you guys had, and any F1 series I'll be highly interested in. As an Arsenal fan, I doubt the Champions League problem will worry me for much longer unless we can get revenge on Dortmund and keep Napoli at bay. Just my 2 cents anyway. | |

| I was looking to reduce my participation for next season, as there are some important championships going on. If the races were on Thursday for example, which would clash with GPVWC&some other championships, it would rule me out of most races. Not so sure about Sundays. I do hope that HSO will be healthy next year again, as you won't find another league with historic racing as easy as here. Thank you for all the racing in 2013 already HSO I am still waiting on the SRM F1 1990 HE mod by the way, I hope the creators will do a good job with it. | |

| Sundays are always inconsistent for me, and I already have other sim comittments for Wednesdays and Thursdays. I appreciate the efforts for an Americas series, and I especially love the HSO mods and the support of this community. Unfortunately it looks like my continued participation may be limited. | |

| Well firstly i am very excited that Plans are being laid out for 2014 ... I Voted for Thursday as it seemed more acceptable to others but to be honest i'm ok for Wednesday also my only problem is sometimes i miss qualifying as i get home late . I know and respect that HSO has always been about Historical correctness but sometimes i think this may limit us to the mods that we can use ... It's great News that we have some new mods coming through WIP so will look forward to those but i'm also very excited that we might consider the 1965 mod .. The HE version that F1sr are racing at the moment with the latest physics i think is very good and i believe we could run a full season with this ... I Believe this would be a very popular choice | |
