Thanks for all the recent responses. Will have to look at those soon.
I do likr the HGT 1.95 mod. Some Scca style races from the period would be fun with the v8s. Races were pretty short. Laguna Seca and Daytona's road course are two I remember.

If the aero rear window on the Monte Carlo was deleted and the trunk area edited accordingly the resulting model could probably be used for quite a few cars

Or we can just throw the liveries from 1987 on them and were good to go!

I have not tried the cars on track, but the physics files show several things are way off. Suspension from modern NASCAR, slip angles of modern radial tires, innacurate weight, horsepower and aerodynamics among other things ... (And league edition physics!!!)
But it's a good base to work from, no doubt

Yep especially since the oval races here are so popular
Well you are of course right (The cancelled USAC70 season comes to mind ), but we never had problems to make reasonable grids for Indy 500 event Opens, so maybe a Daytona 500 open gets enough people
On a side note, if we could produce good physics it would be awesome to go door-banging at Riverside with these things

We never got full field at Indy and hardly got half a field this year 13 cars left after 20 laps is quite underwhelming.

Shame..no one interested in the Rebel 400, or North Wilkes? Darlington and North Wilkes would be sweet online..

Of course I am interested, it's just that we don't know if there will be many more people. But we can at least organize somewhen a fun race with one of us hosting if necessary, we'll see
