| Gui, it seems likely that there will be a log jam of sorts at one of the chicanes during the race. In that case, what is the best course of action for a driver approaching the incident? Come to a stop and wait for the cars to clear, or go around the incident by short-cutting the chicane? The first option could be more dangerous, since it may cause a chain reaction pile up. On the other hand, I don't want to incur a stop and go penalty for missing a chicane and then have to crawl forever at 37 mph _________________ | |

No problem in cutting the chicane, but I don't know if you'll be penalized or not. If the track considers it as a shortcut you will be warned at least once before being penalized anyway.

As long as you are close to the chicane the lap will count. Get a little too far and you'll get ye old cut lap warning. There is a small cone on each side usually. Drive right over it if needed. But two misses in a lap or one big miss is a lost lap. _________________

Just a good setup and a good lap! Awesome lap...now how many times can you do it in a row?? I am going to look more like an Olympic high dive champion more than a driver I suspect. Biiiig splash. And I see your 47 second lap and give you... _________________
