Really, really disappointed. This was the best chance I've had yet to score points at HSO, and it was over within seconds of the start Sad As expected, there was a fracas at the chicane on lap 1; I slowed for the yellow flag, then almost lost it exiting the chicane on acceleration. Everything was routine by the time I arrived at the hairpin -- Then, Abat Hernaez punted me into the right side barrier. Mad I pitted to fix the resulting damage, kept it under the limit. Then, I was astonished to find out that rFactor was not counting my laps! Made five or six tours, and the lap count still read two! It was clear at this point that I was either disqualified or the server had an error of some kind. By this time, I was thoroughly frustrated, so I quit out.

I would like the admins to take a look at the lap 1 incident, I think Abat should have been more careful with 65 laps to go. :bangry:

Well that didn't go too well, two slip ups in the slalom and associated repairs put me too far down to be classified by the end so parked it just before halfway.

oh well always next time

God what an awful track and race. Too many chicanes, including the moving ones.
Oh well, that race was the perfect definition of a stolen win :jp:

Jason,

You likely entered the pits too late. Happened to me many times in practice. Laps do not count until you enter before the sign I took a picture of on page 1.

OK race for me. I knew I could not survive pushing as hard as I can so I aimed for 52 second safe laps especially on the chicane mid back straightaway. I never flipped so that is a small victory.

Edit: Cool I scored 2 points!!! Awesome.

I wanted to steal it too Sad

Looks like except Tour de Auto I can't win anything Rolling Eyes

I ran into Shaun on one lap, but couldn't really go anywhere, sorry. Then I had to avoid him again at T1 and lost 2nd to JP which was the race win too Sad

Ah well, with Gui spinning right before the flag fell, I can't be too unhappy with 2nd :second:

Results and standings are up, they could be provisionnal due to Philippe's problem.

Philippe tu as fini la course donc ?

Good lord... the group-c cars are as mad as badgers to race pale Phew! ... and I don't think I technically finished. My readout said 15th place although I think I made it to the end. I think the server presumed I killed myself in a barrier. Not too sure these cars are for me.

Can I please ask if i actually finished? If not that is fine. And many apologise to you David, I was trying to let folks pass as well as i could, i fear it was my fault Sad . Oh well, it was good experience overall maybe if I take any positives away from this race. :smil20:

:banane: :D
Bravo JP, David et les survivants :top:
=================
Not an easy race, I almost totally screwed it up when I went flying at the last chicane pale In the last laps I still had a comfortable 5-6s margin over JP and thought I had the win in my pocket, but lost all my advantage trying the avoid Gérard in the slalom. With JP right behind me I switched back to boost 5 but was sliding way too much on old tires, and spun in the last lap on the slippery part of the track

Disapointed to lose so stupidly but well, 3rd is enough to clinch the title on race before the end :first:
So now Diepholz is officialy my favorite track, as everytime I race here, I win a championship :banane: :D

I don't really like members posting videos of incidents on the forum Jason, as usually people with nothing to do with the incident tend to give their opinion, and things can get messy. You should have sent me a PM. Wink

But you posted it so I'm going to answer here. I don't think Abat did anything reckless here. You cut the track in front of him, going from right to left, and under braking you went right again. I'm not saying it was intentional blocking (I know it wasn't), but for Abat behind you it's hard pick a line and a braking point.
