I guessed it was this car. Too bad it doesn't take part anymore, it would spice up the battle with Rebellion and Strakka(any other private LMP1 at Le Mans?).

There's a mod with this car on rFCentral, has someone tested it?

"Any other" is aimed at Rebellion and Strakka teams. Apart from them, there are no other privateers Sad

Here's the Green GT H2 car for the #56 garage entry: http://www.cleancarjournal.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/green-gt-24-heures-du-mans_002-1000x750.jpg

Like it or not? It looks... strange.

I understood that, but I was just saying that if Aston Martin was still in P1, their legitimate oppenent would be Audi and Toyota Smile

Indeed nowadays privateers prefer to claim the victory in P2 than being 5-7 seconds off the pace in P1 at Le Mans. (but in my opinion Rebellion is doing a really great work with an "old" car :top: )

I was there when it was still racing. It was more like:

Audi+Peugeot(Now Toyota) <- Aston Martin -> Rebellion+Strakka

Aston had no chance, just like Rebellion now.

And the Rebellion has received a new aero update prior to the season.

Rebellion Racing@Paul Ricard Test wrote:

If the Aston would race again, he'd be facing the improved Rebellion.

And as for the AMR-One, we should not even speak about it; the car was a total failure :aie: When it ran in 2011, the sole finisher was... the private Aston Martin(with a Lola chassis, like the Rebellion team back then) of Kronos, 10 laps behind Rebellion.

Even though I regret that the Aston Martin disappeared again, I like that their GT program is doing fine, the GTPro aswell as the GTAm entries are running strong :top:

Yeah I know that, but I think when Aston Martin decided to build this Lola-Aston, they wanted to fight for the win. But in fact the rules was not really fair with petrol engine.

That's why I put " " around old Smile The chassis basis is still the old Lola, but Rebellion did a lot of work with it.

Regarding the AMR-One... an incredible serie of bad choices Shocked

I'm glad they are back in GT too Smile

One of the drivers said that the development of the AMR-One was too open in the public. I think he means that the car was too early known and that it wasn't really ready when it took part in the first races(sounds a bit like the LMP entry of Lister Storm).

At Le Mans, they managed... 6 laps. One car retired after 2 laps, the other after several hours in the garage and 4 laps geek What a Face

I think the crew of Aston Martin was like this during the time the car was designed, tested&used:

geek+ drunken+ Sleep -> study -> :conduit: -> Shocked -> Neutral -> scratch -> study -> :smil20: -> Suspect -> :yaa: -> affraid -> Embarassed -> :doh: -> :drink: -> pale -> :urgence:
