Round 1 - Norisring [June 17]

A good evening of racing

After tweaking everything I could from my last year's setup, I finally went back to it (only reduced brake pressure to 70%) and was immediatly on the pace. Race 1 start went good, I only wanted to follow Steve and Lorenzo without taking too much risks. I got the lead somehow, thanks to traffic mostly, with a 4-5s lead over Lorenzo. But a spin with around 10 laps to go sent me back to 2nd, 1s behind Lorenzo. I got lucky Lorenzo got stuck in traffic with 2 laps to go, took the lead and finished the race 1st, but only 0.7s ahead of Lorenzo.

Race 2 wasn't so great. Lorenzo took the lead but I could follow him quite easily, until I lost 4s when Viorel spun me around at the chicane. I lost another 4s later when I clipped the inside wall at the chicane again, I finished 9s behind Lorenzo at the end, meaning 2nd place overall.

Traffic was a bit hectic sometimes but I think everybody did a good job to give room. Nice race from our 2 newcomers Jan and Shawn, very clean driving guys. See you all next time at Hockenheim for those who don't care about the finale of the Euro.
Une bonne soirée de simracing

Après avoir modifier tout ce que je pouvais sur mon setup de l'an dernier sans succès, je suis finalement revenu dessus (en changeant juste la pression des freins à 70%) et pouf j'étais dans le rythme. Bon départ en course 1, je suivais Lorenzo et Steve en ne prenant aucun risque. Finalement j'hérite de la 1ere place avec 4-5s d'avance sur Lorenzo, grace au traffic et à quelques erreurs de autres. Mais un spin bête à 10 tours de la fin me remet 2ème juste derrière Lorenzo, que je vais passer à 2 tours de la fin avec un peu de chance quand il est coincé dans le traffic. Je termine 1er de la course 1 mais avec 0.7s seulement d'avance sur Lorenzo, autant dire que la course 1 n'a servi à rien !

La course 2 s'est moins bien passé puisque je suivais Lorenzo tranquilou jusqu'à que Viorel m’envoie en spin à la chicane Je perds 4s dans l'affaire, puis 4s encore plus tard quand je tape le mur intérieur à la chicane. Je termine donc 2ème à 9s de Lorenzo, et donc 2ème au classement final.

Le trafic était assez fou par moment mais je pense que tout le monde a été plutot bon, en se signalant avec les phares et en donnant beaucoup de place. Prochaine course dans 2 semaines à Hockenheim pour ceux qui s'en foutent de la finale de l'Euro

Si mes calculs sont justes, je finis 3eme au cumul des 2 manches. Super résultat. La 917, c'est un sacré char d'assaut dans les virages serrés , y a pas beaucoup le droit à l'erreur.

Dans la 1ere, j'ai profité des mésaventures de Steve pour faire un holdup sur le podium et j'ai même réussi à construire une petite avance. Dans la 2eme, j'ai surveillè mon retard sur Steve pour conserver la 3eme place au général.

Bravo à tous pour le comportement en piste. C'était le pied de slalomer dans le traffic. Un gros bémol pour Diego qui avait, à l'évidence, posé le cerveau sur le bureau dans sa bagarre avec Yoann.

Race 1 lap 34. You have to wait for the guy you are fighting with, when you've just sent him into the wall. And what about the way you sent Yoann into the wall: Weird, very weird.

Soirée bien sympathique avec 2 courses tres fun

Une grille de départ bien fournie avec beaucoup de nouveaux pilotes à découvrir, j'aime

Je tiens d'abord à remercier Alberto pour m'avoir passé un setup beaucoup plus stable que le miens
Je n'etais pas aussi rapide que lui mais cela m'a permi de faire 2 courses tres regulières et pratiquement sans fautes

J'ai eu un peu les mêmes adversaires directs dans les 2 courses
Franck mercurio et son Alfa un peu plus vite que moi, Jan et sa Matra avec qui j'ai bataillé tres proprement pendant les 2 courses
...et Frank avec sa valeureuse GT40

Je termine sur le podium des 3 litres dans les 2 courses ce qui avant l'evenement etait innespéré pour ma 908

Merci à tous les participants et à HSO pour l'organisation

Je serai absent pour Hockenheim mais en principe présent pour les suivantes

About the incidents you mentioned and about Yoann, i'm afraid you are looking only what happened to him and overlooking the fact that he hit me from behind twice (before and after i hit him) .both things that happened were incidents i believe, as it was when i touched him. maybe you have something to say about him too? take your time and look both replays too, not only lap 34, as i was hit from behind 4 or 5 times and i don't see you writing about any of these things. i think either you should see the whole scenario, or don't see anything at all, otherwise you are not being fair. and talking about fairness, i would like that the admins take a look at the incidents, and if necessary, give the relevant punishments.

@Diego, the difference is that i hit you twice, and wait for you twice... just made you spin, not really damage.

Une bonne course pour moi malgré tout, avec le peu de trainnig que j'ai eu... pas vraiment de belles arsouilles mais j'ai réussi à rester à peu près régulier (c'est mieux que pas du tout ). Et sinon c'est pas interdit de dépasser avant la ligne au départ ?

Yoann, like i said to Vincent , it was all a racing incident (it happened before here and will happen again, racing is not a perfect thing) and i don't see any reason for pointing fingers. i'm sorry if i hit you and i forgive you too, we are all human in the end of the day.

Being human doesn't prevent you from being fairplay, if Yoann waited for you twice, you could have done the same for him.

You are right, i can't argue with that,i should have waited, i'm sorry.
