V8 Supercars race on the Sydney street circuit, the track is dry and in only half a lap the rain comes pouring down and creates a massive chaos

I was disgusted when I saw that. Especially with the silly rule that gave Courtney (the championship leader) even more points, which destroyed a potential showdown for the championship

Well i unfortunately didn't watch the season finale, what happened?

Although i must say as a Ford (and Lowndes) supporter i'm glad a Ford won the championship.

There's a rule saying that you must do 75% (?) of the total distance to score points, take the checkered flag, and clock a laptime good enough (2x the best lap).
It was a race to repair the cars just in time to take the checkered flag, both Whincup and Courtney managed to do so. But Courtney could clock a laptime on the final lap, while Whincup did the final lap only, but had no time (that's the ridiculous part).
Whincup's car was still in better shape than Courtney's : DJR sent back Courtney on track with a destroyed car (and V8 give black flags for a little piece of bumper, but they allow this to run), when Triple 8 followed the rule, but they lost.
Courtney scored ~60 points for the 15th place, and won the title by that margin.

That's a bit of an ugly way to win, i must say...
