I really hope it comes out soon, I was having fun trundling at the back in a Life , but I couldn't recreate a real F1 qualifying session-I managed to qualify it only 7 seconds off a McLaren

I think V2 is going to rFactor 2 instead, so it may be a while before we'll ever get to drive your coveted Onyx
Their blog shows a "V2.0 - Coming Soon" picture in the download section now, so I believe it's still gonna be for rF1.
But it's been 10 months since the announcement, it's about time now.
Anyone knows someone of the developers?
It's not a HE edition yet IIRC?
EDIT: Wait, you seriously called the team "Onyx"? How dare you! Pfft, I'll call you thus Apicella!
They have released a couple more updates etc. on their blog since, the most recent was September 29th, releasing the race suits etc. If it's on rF1, I'd much prefer it. As of yet, rF2 is deeply into beta and I really am disliking it.
It is an HE I believe, I haven't tried much but the Mclaren was the fastest, Ferrari and Williams afterward, Benetton etc. and then Life is the slowest
I will dare to call it Onyx! That's their true name, which was used when the team had any sense, before it was bought out and had it's former creators fired.

I can't. I still live in the town where Monteverdi's base was, it's a piece of F1 history(although a failed one).
But I'd love it if they can finish it, the '97 one of WCP never got completed for example.
Last update was at the end of February, but wasn't of news on the mod, only reassuring that the mod is coming along well but that we must wait as the modders don't have full time among work and family.
I think RFE might be part of this mod too

That would be awesome, alongside being historic?
Thanks for the update Alessio
I'd probably need to put it through Google translate or use some kind of online dictionary to understand it.
Apparently, Team SRM have now neared the end of the development of the mod.
They've also said there will be many changes since 1.1:
1. Physics:
Revised physics, and introduction of gated shifter (excl. Ferrari). Adjusted engine temperature and wear. Something about cars being more difficult, but I couldn't entirely understand it.
2. Graphics:
All liveries re-created in HD. New In-game GUI New graphics updates for Imola and Monaco-lot's of work has gone into it.
3. Tracks:
Layouts and graphics changed to match 1990 more.
For offline users, there are a few changes to the AI.
Video and images soon to come.

Anyway it says more or less that F1 cars are not as many people think uncontrollable dragsters riding on slippery tires and that they are not leaving melt rubber on the asphalt each time they accelerate. He is actually justifying that the physics revision makes them easier to drive and with more grip, but without actually killing the car's identity and that setting them up to get the best performance will still be challenging.

I guess that means LE physics, not HE?
Still great news for me, but in case of LE bad news if HSO was ever to have a look at it

I'm half-Italian, but I've only received 2 years of Italian lessons when I was younger and now I am learning again on my own, so my Italian is far from perfect
And I don't think it's LE physics, seeing as 1.1 was HE.
