My Dad won Laguna Seca, competed in the 24Hrs Of Daytona and Lemans, and finished 2nd in pts to Peter Gregg in 1974 with this ,or it's sister car....not too sure..There is a story behind that,of course..lol..

There were 2 of these..Keyser drove the #1,the 1974 car and my dad drove the #0,the 1973RSR,upgraded with'74 parts... Michaels' idea was to match Hurley Haywood and Peter Gregg car for car-driver to driver..But Brumos had more money...They were locked in a tight points battle in 1974..At Mid Ohio,Milt finished 3rd,then we headed to Daytona for the finale..We followed the race car in my dads' Cortez motorhome..When we got to The Jacksonville Florida exit,we exited..My stepmom was driving the motorhome..We were following the Car trailer for the #0..The Motorhome would not stop...there were dropoffs on both sides..My stepmom STOOD on the brakes..my dad ran up and crammed it in low..We hit the trailer and the "Whale Tail" broke off, trailor dislodged and the truck took off..The Car would not be ready in time..Couldn't just find a whale tail anywhere..After the race,Michael fired my dad..So the next race at Talledega,he took John Greenwoods' Spirit of '75 corvette and beat Michael by a nose...Michael rehired him to get the title from Gregg...it was 2 pts...The #1 car lost the tranny in the 6 hr race at Watkin Glen... Turns out the Cortez mechanic put the automatic brake adjusters on backwards in Los Angelos,at the dealers...When he got back to LA,he walked into the mechanics bay and punched him in the nose...and was removed from the building...
No shit,or as true as I can remember...Winning would have been upwards of $200,000 and a trip to the 1974 IROC.. Instead,Goodyear hired him for a few $100 to test the cars and tires at Riverside..Racing sure can be cruel..But I love it!

Bitchen Frank!Very cool! The Roy Woods Camaros..Roy was in the #69 and Dad drove the #68..Won Donnybrook in 1970..Put George Follmer in the dirt on the last corner..George tried to hit dad through the window..This big ol' SCCA guy picked big George up and carried him off,so Milt could get out of the car-lol!TY!
