Here's a quick reminder of few rules for the race :

- No nicknames on server, everybody race with his real name

- No chat during qualifying session and race. Please respect others drivers on the track, and wait for the end of the session to chat.

- Please be very careful at the start, the race is long, cars very sensitive to contacts. The start's replay will be carefully reviewed and there will be sanctions against wreckless drivers.
Nevertheless, we will take in consideration that newcomers haven't necessarily an experience of such races.

- Set up your car so it doesn't smoke during qualifying and race or you'll incur a sanction. It is higly recommended to set the radiator size at the maximum for the race, cars heat up in huge proportions on the starting grid. Don't play with hrottle when your car is stopped. Dont forget there is a formation lap.

We will use the GP1979 Master Series V1.1 mod.

Je vous rappelle ces quelques règles :

- Pas de pseudos sur le serveur, on court sous son vrai nom.

- Pas de chat en qualifs, encore moins en course. On respecte les pilotes en piste, et on attend la fin de la session pour parler ou s'excuser si besoin.

- Grande prudence au départ, la course est longue, les voitures fragiles. Le replay du départ sera examiné après course, tout comportement trop dangereux sera sanctionné pour la prochaine course. La modération sera tout de même plus souple pour les nouveaux arrivants.

- Réglez votre voiture de façons à ce qu'elle ne fume ni en qualifications ni course. Des sanctions seront prises le cas échéant. Il est recommandé de mettre le radiateur au maximum pour la course, les voitures chauffent énormément sur la grille de départ, ne jouez pas de l'accélérateur à l'arrêt. N'oubliez pas qu'il y a un tour de formation.

Nous utiliserons le mod GP1979 Master Series V1.1.

Hey I'd like to run this race as a wildcard. I'd like to sit back and see which drivers won't be able to make it and choose a car from there. The Ensign doesn't interest me so that can go to someone else looking in. Thanks.

I´m still not sure about my start in this grand prix...it is because of olympic ice hockey final...I think Czech team should be there...so then I cannot start...

so I don´t know if I can block my car for this race...I will be sure aftar semifinals

no way Karel. Better put a dime on Canada-Finland. perhaps the Russian team will awake at last after the desillusion they got against Slovaquia.
Don't find the Czech team awesome this year...seems to me the goaltending and defense to be quite brittle.

I am optimistic...if I remeber Nagano...that year "paper assupmtions" were much worst for use...Russia and Canda didn´t show much yet on current tournament, so we will see...tomorrow evening CZ agains Russia will show much more how good or bad our team is...

P.... ce mod est en train de me degouter d'une de mes pistes fetiches. Je ne comprends absolument rien aux comportements des voitures. Elles sont censées tenir plus le pavé mais c'est encore plus traitre que la Lotus 49 de GPL. En régularité je suis plus rapide avec la BRM P115 qu'avec la M28 sur 20 tours (et encore c'est un exploit si je fais 20 tours avec les 79) à Kyalami.

Tel que je ressens les choses la M28 ne freine pas (je freine aux memes endroits qu'avec la BRM de GPL c'est dire. Si je tente de freiner un chouilla plus tard c'est la sortie de piste), surchauffent ces pneus (style 115-118 sur les quatre au bout de trois tours) et globalement change de comportement d'un tour sur l'autre (elle va survirer au freinage un tour puis devenir sousvireuse au meme endroit le tour suivant) . Le tout avec un set GS. Et peut importe ce que je touche sur le set c'est toujours la meme chose la voiture devient inconduisible avec les pneus chauds (un comble). Le seul endroit où elle semble bien c'est dans la ligne droite et le kink. Partout ailleurs elle fait ce qu'elle veut sans aucune coherence. C'est simple elle est encore plus imprevisible que la Shadow pourtant reputé une des plus ombrageuses.

Si ce n'etait ma promesse de ne pas lacher un championnat entamé (promesse que l'on m'a gentiment rappelé après Interlagos et, plus recemment, apres la course GT de Monaco) comment que je te bazarderais ce mod que je trouve absolument mer...que. A part à Montreal (et encore c'est parce que j'y ai marqué des points) je n'ai que du mal à dire à en dire. Totale erreur de casting de m'etre realigné en 79. Maintenant quand le vin est tiré il faut le boire. et là c'est une sacrée piquette de chez piquette

Ah nan Ludo je ne suis pas d'accord, plutot que de continuer à rouler si ca devient un sacerdoce, mieux vaut libérer ta voiture et faire un heureux !

Sure but at Nagano it was Hasek between the pipe. It's another dimension than Vokoun (even it's a very good goaly).
Normal Canada didn't show anything. As usual in international round they get stronger and stronger as the competition goes on. They'll be at their best after the initial round.
Beware of Finland as they score 13 times to one goal conceded. But Finland is always impressive in qualifications rounds and disapointed in final ones.

Sure that CZ-Russia will be quite a game. The winner will have a true edge for the final round. If Russia don't win they'll be nearly out of race for gold medal

Tomorrow will be THE day as we will see CZ-Russia (can't see it as I'll be in a Ferrari then), Canada-USA and Sweden-Finland. Mamma mia what a night
