| I've been racing one similar to this at MNRL. Very basic. Needs some work still.

| the others links on this thread are from the 1971 F5000 edition. Now StDave has released the 1973 edition. http://www.nogripracing.com/details.php?filenr=29836 Don't be cruel, is a v0.8 then a BETA. - Quote :

If you want to run both 1971 & 1973 seasons then install the 1971 cars first.
Information on the cars and circuits can be found at www.oldracingcars.com
All of my car models are made using zmodeler1, zmodeler2 and 3dsimed, Thank you to those programs.
Thanks to CREW for their F1RC mod. An inspiration to me. Thanks to CREW members BigFelix and slayer10 for permission to use the March 74A, McLaren M7A, McLaren M14 and Surtees TS8 models. The M7A model was also used as a base for the McLaren M10B.
All of the other modeling and textures etc were made by Dave Sabre.
Thanks to Norm Borczon, Admin MNRL Chapter, for testing, editing, suggestions. MNRL http://www.race2play.com/homepage/show_chapter/764.
Thanks to Guillaume Siebert for testing and suggestions.
Note: Rev-limiters have NOT been used in this mod.
The Chevrolet engines produce maximum power at 7500rpm, revving beyond 7500rpm will damage the engine. There is no advantage to be gained by revving above 7500rpm, change gear.
Use the HUDtexture file to display a correct redline on the HUD revcounter. Remove it when using other mods.
The Rover engine produces maximum power at 8000rpm. Beyond 8000rpm power drops off very quickly and as above you will damage the engine.
Dave Sabre. _________________

| Oh Dave is really kind to give me some credits, honnestly I did not help him a lot. He's very good at creating lots of 3D models but I never really agreed with his physics, especialy the tires behaviour.
Still, its good to see he's still working on this mod, i'll have a look at this new version, the Surtees TS11 might be useful. :raclure:

| it has few problems, crashed my pc twice, also when you touch the brakes, the car locks tires and slides for miles apart from that sounds are excellent, and handles well, just brakes and tires let it down, needs bit more engine braking added | |
