Im really looking forward to another 24hour race i must be mad ....

But it really was a great race to be in and a real highlight for me .....
i love the VLM 77 AND 79 Tracks but it was a little weird how cars take off
over the mulsanne hump ......Never noticed it before

I Wondered is this track realated or mod related ....

It's track related.
I'm currently working on a Group C mod, and I have to put an huge amount of downforce on cars front wing (by huge, i mean unrealistic) so that they dont take off here. With full boost, they go over it at more than 390km/h ...
So as the WSC70 have no wings and downforce, the fastest cars take off because the hump falls down too quickly.

I hope they will fix it in the 90's version of the track.

I Love all the VLM Tracks and as for the Group C it would make my Life complete if they bought the PTC mod to rFactor
but how could they make the track more realistic surely it would not be so much a hump more a longhill ...... scratch

Surely on a track like Le Mans 77 you would not run with such high downforce
this will be an intersting development keep us informed Gui this is Great News ......

This was the only thing that let the 24hr race down i cant imagine
how much downforce you would need to keep these babies on the ground ....

I Still have F1 challenge installed but only for the PTC Mod one day i will be able to uninstall it .....

For late 80's Group C cars, about the half of what modern F1s can achieve today, which is a bit too much (it should be around a third). But most of all, you have to put more downforce on the front wing than on rear wing, which is never the case IRL. If you dont, the car will fly.

Anyway you have to add wings or diffuser in the car physics if you want downforce, and 1970 Sportcars didnt have them ...
