Very sorry to John Cook She snapped on me, possibly from earlier damage. Sorry, it ruined your race.

I had a disappointing qualifying and didn't feel sharp. I was partly out of sync with what was happening as the game didn't want to connect to the server so I was late. I was then caught out by the solo qualifying and didn't realise it had started. I had an OK start and there was a gap in front of me so I had options into t1 and t2. The inside looked clean and is normally safer so I went for that. Unfortunately, someone came flying up on my inside and I didn't see them until they tapped me and, by that time, it was all happening in front. Amazingly I survived without much damage but lost all momentum so Scooby got past. I was careful into the downhill right-hander onto the straight but couldn't avoid, and sadly contributed to, the carnage. Doing some steering damage to the car and dropping me way back. Sorry to all involved. I got going and had a fun little battle with Bruno in front and a pack of cars behind. I got past around the outside at the end of the back straight. I then came up to John and Martin. Martin lost it, which gave me a run on John as we headed into the back straight. I wasn't close enough the first time around but felt I had an advantage on the brakes so I tried to stay close for another go on the next lap. I got a good launch down the hill and was able to nip by at the end of the straight. Unfortunately, for me and more for John, the back snapped out and I touched him causing him to go off. I tried to slow to let him have the place back but that just put me in the way of other drivers, and I wasn't quite clear where he was. So I thought it best to quit at that point. I'd blame it on being ill, or the damage earlier, but it was more likely just ambition to make the move over talent. So, very sorry once again to John. And anyone else I negatively affected in the race.
I skipped the 3l+ race as my focus was shot and I haven't spent enough practice time to be safe in the Talbot. Partly, I misread the timetable and thought I would have a chance to practice between races.

Excellent races and good disputes, this mod is fantastic! Congratulations to the winners. Thanks again to Frank for clearing my participation. I am already announcing my presence at the next race at the Hockenheimring.
