Driving the Ferrari 375 Plus in Buenos Aires is giving me nightmares at night! The car is so heavy and the engine's torque so brutal that it squirms all over the slow corners and has massive understeer in the big corner. It requires endless patience on the slow stretches and enormous faith when braking so that the brakes don't fail. For me, it will be a test of survival.

Good luck Bruno! I've switched to the little Osca so I 'should' have an 'easier' race. Or more likely, crash out on the first lap because I've had nearly no practice in the new car.

Just remember to blip for about 5 minutes per downshift, otherwise she likes to snap around on ya for seemingly no reason.
Oh yeah uhhh... present, I guess.

Thanks for the warning. I've heard that (about downshifts in the Osca) but I've been ok so far.... I'm hoping it's some rf2 setting I have by accident somewhere that's is making it ok. Or could just be my usual 'conservative' driving style. It's very slow though so I might need the Scooby Express bonus for qualifying

Sorry, no free rides for direct competition. Well... not intentionally anyway.

I'm camping with the family this weekend, we return on Sunday, so there is an outside chance I can make it, but in all likelihood, I'll be packing everything away and getting ready for work on Monday. Hope to report back on Sunday early evening with some positive news

The server ends the evening before the event. So that final pre-qualification times can be assessed.

Subject: A fun race at the back Sun 9 Apr 2023 - 22:46
My worst results where I've still finished...... but also the most fun race yet. The first 4 laps looked like it might be a race between all the 1.5 class but as the race settled everyone opened a gap with me in last. Just like in 2l days, I had hopes of hanging onto Martin but he slowly pulled away. It was then a lonely race trying to keep concentration and out of the way of the leaders when they lapped me. That all changed at the first pit stop where I came our right behind Martin and then we raced closely for several laps. Full congratulation to Martin he drove beautifully with no mistakes. In particular, he was always super smooth, tidy and quick onto the straights so I could never get close enough to slipstream past. The leaders lapping us closed and opened the gap and on three occasions I got close enough to think about making an attempt. Each time, he held his nerve and I overcooked it . I tried to hold on but, again, he eventually opened a decent gap. With a few laps to go he made a splash and dash. I needed one too but tweaked the fuel menu to put the minimum in. 8 seconds later I came out a few second up the road. What followed was a tense last couple of laps and I was so so pleased to see Erwann lap me again right at the end so I didn't need to eek a final lap out of my fuel. Congrats Martin, you deserved it more than me today. I just got lucky with a quick pitstop. More worringly, my lap times were 5 seconds slower than the Porches. It's going to be a long season.
