| The Renault is fantastic to drive but bloody thirsty ... I Hit a spinning Pierre on lap 1 which made my car hideous to drive i thought this would be a high retirement track so set off in pursuit managed to get into 8th with about 2 laps to go ..... Had to splash and dash and with the damage i had the car overheated in the pits ... I Loved the renault and would love to drive it again someday ... I Do like the F1 but it is frustrating when you hit someone especially when it cant be helped tintops are much more reliable/damage friendly .... Sorry Othmane when i got in your way ...... Congragulations on your Alien performance .... | |

lol Carl and the pitstops, a long story In that case, either choose not to repair your car if it's still driveable, or shut down the engine and it wont overheat

Ill get it right one day ... Well done to all finishers ....

| Phew that was a tough one. No one could touch the Renault, I did my damnest to stay on the lead lap, I gave it all I had. I am very happy with that, I didn't make a single mistake, got close a few times yakking on Ventrilo though but I couldn't race without it. Never been so consistent in my life, so believe me I was pushing for all I am worth. Richard was on my gearbox for a long time unil he decided to try the off road capabilities of the Tyrrell and went up a mountain. I was happy you escaped undamaged! Congrats Othmane and Richard. Great run man, a solid 3rd. Good run all finishers! | |

| Thanks to the strange 1979 points rules, i'm already champion (unless Oscar or Stéphane come back and win the last 4 races) Merci à l'étrange systeme de décompte des points de 79, je suis déjà champion (à moins qu'Oscar ou Stéphane reviennent et gagnent les 4 dernières courses)

| Well yes sure you can take the last Renault, but, if you prefer the Ligier, and as I know the Renault is Kimmo's heart choice, I would allow him to go back to Renault and you could take his Ligier. I really did not expect this car to be free here in Austria that's why I didnt allow Kimmo to have a regular Renault seat when he joined. So it's up to you to decide guys | |

Hope we can all discuss later the racing days, because the weekends are to hard for me What I really found is that the Alfa doesn't work with my setups.... It always goes wrong... at least in qualify

| an evening to forget could be the devise for my race. i made so many mistakes i even couldn`t count. especially the start was very bad and i am ashamed. sorry for my spin in the first corner. all the brakes completely blocked, although i didn`t brake late and i a was just a passenger. sorry for the one i hitted (olivier) and the ones i`ve confused (all the others). shame on me . after the first mistake, i was the last on the track. thanks to the power of the brabham, i was able to overtake a lot of drivers and after some laps, i was in position four. after some moe laps, i made a mistake in corner 1 and was on position seven. after all, i put the car into the wall because the brabham was getting faster and faster the more fuel it burned and i just wanted too much and was too early on the throttle. dammit but i am really looking forward to the next race. i hope that i can finish at least once with the brabham and make mr. ecclestone happy. otherwise, the contract negotiations for next year will be very tough . i really love the power-truck. but i have to work on my consitency . allar, you went off the track and came back very very slow and i was in full speed, but i can`t remember touching you. when i saw you, i braked as hard as i can and i thought that i managed to brake before touching you. EDIT: i`ve reviewed the replay and it definitely wasn`t me. i think nobody touched you. you`ve accelerated on the grass strip with one wheel and then you went into the wall. gui was behind you. greetings to all the finishers and especially the podium. all my respect is with gui in his truck. well done, champion! regards, mario

| Standings have been updated on the website : http://www.historicsimracing.org/F179/class_F179.php?lang=eng As no more than 36 points can be scored in each half season (only the 4 best results count), Othmane can only score 43 points this year. | |
