Noooo :D

Phew, that's good. After the 13.01's tests and 1:42.0 on Imola, I thought what I need to retire from racing. Very Happy

Because I check 1980 pole's time, it was 1:33.9, and I was very upset after that.

At least the first attempt, the WK1, looked very intriguing. Something that Lotus had tried with the 80 and Arrows with their A2, something like a complete wing car.

But in contrast to those teams, they never went as far and had trouble with something like oil coolers blocking the way of the tunnels.

But they didn't use the same layout in 1979 and 1980. One of the chicanes had not yet been built.

Today was the deadline for people to publish their top 3 choices. Typically will take a day for us to agree on assignments. Assignments should be up Thursday or early Friday.

Quick question, I see that we are using the short version of the Interlagos circuit although the longer version of the circuit was in use in 1979, is that correct?

Yes, sadly neither the old Interlagos or the period Long Beach track are available on rF2 so we had to use replacement tracks :smil20: .

Which makes me so sad. I got to drive old Interlagos on rF1 and it's amazing. Modern Interlagos is boring(in comparison) and the unedited '13 version by S397 is even to me kind of an eyesore now :hihi:

I agree totally. Hopefully one of the new series that are in development will include a long course Interlagos sooner than later.

The old Interlagos is one of my fav tracks too, such a great flow ! We also used the "perimetro" layout once (JP had made it for us), which was great fun. It will be our first (and hopefully last :D) time using the modern layout.

The Interlagos track for the next F1-79 race will be the old (long) or the current (short)? Is the download link in the schedule provided by the HSO correct?

In the times table there is Historic Interlagos. Where do I download the historic track?

Yes Mike has to decide if we use the modern Interlagos or the recently released historic layout. We'll launch the training server when we have settled for a track.

The training server for the next Gold Star event will be upped later today Wink.

As far as I remember it was a texture pack a friend was kind enough to share/provide back then.
Grip was the same. It looks even darker because of an ENB graphics preset which also was provided by the same friend.

So don't worry. This time can be worked down to 2.18.4 in rf1....but surely not in rf2...unless the track is shorter in rf2.

All in all though its meant to be a reference.

Right now I am leaning heavily towards the old track (historic long version.)

The server is up now with the track installed (thank you Ben :chinois: ).

Everyone test it. If you want to run on it say “yes” or if not “no”. There is no time for “Well, if you sand papered this that and the other...” It will be as is or v.91 which just came out with some grass texture edits.

Beware, the curbs are high, going off track usually ends badly and next weekend there is a 50% chsnce of rain forecast so far! Evil or Very Mad

Will be online later.

You had me at the rain forecast.

Gotta give the version a try, so much more interesting than the new(2013) track. And even that one looks horribly outdated by now, and I am not an "eyecandy" kind of guy!
