| RACE MEETING - BRIEFING For two-drivers teams: It is advised that you run two different cars for this very short event (one each). However, if you choose to race as a duo anyway :
DO NOT log into the race server as an individual driver on race day. The only driver for each team who should be on the server before the race, is the driver who will qualify the car. We only have so many slots on the server and an individual driver may take up a team's slot or car number. We DO NOT want to keep resetting the server because people are not paying attention to what they're doing. Practice only with your team's name and number. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Simulation: NASCAR Racing 2003 Season using the Redline GTP Mod Race Server IP: check race mail Password: check race mail Race Date: Saturday, August 29rd, 2009 Race Length: 70 Laps Mandatory Minimum Number of Disconnects: ONE Yellows: Off Starts: Single file, Staggered with 0.5 - 1 second interval Weather: 70° Clear, FIXEDPractice Time: 2:45 pm - 3:45 pm (GMT) Qualify Time: 3:45 pm (GMT) Happy Hour: approximately 3:50 pm (GMT) Qualifying Laps: 3Race Time: 4:00 pm (GMT) Pace Lap: Full Pit Road Speed Limit: none (even if Nascar says you have to respect a 70MPH Pit Road speed limit, you can actually blast through the pit lane at 200MPH+ with no penalty) Car Setup: Open Hardcore Mode: Driving Aids Off & Open Cockpit View Pitstop Frequency: 1x Damage: Moderate SafetyWe will be starting the race Single File Staggered to assist in eliminating the first lap incidents. You MUST start with a minimum of a .5 - 1 second gap to the driver in front of you . If a driver is too close at the start, or causing problems, we may consider restarting the race. No pass in the first few corners is going to win the race for you. Chatting During, Qualifications and Race, no chatting whatsoever will be tolerated. Even to warn other drivers that you're exiting/entering pits, or to thank a lapper for letting you through. If you do chat, you will receive a warning. To be given acces to this server, ask in this thread. -Please confirm you presence or absence to the race in this topicDrivers/Teams having missed two races in a row without prior notification in the race's thread will be withdrawn from the Entry list. | #20 Jim Ray here. Good luck all.
We will look to rebroadcast the event or parts of it the following day on our homepage. We will post a link when it is done. Please email me the teamspeak info for post race talk. We will likely be on our own teamspeak for the event. Thanks to our gracious hosts.

| The #2 Silk Cut Jaguar is confirmed as running in this event. It may be solo (Rich Gast) or with co-driver Chuck Futrell (still to be confirmed).
We will be on our own TeamSpeak server but would also like to join into the H.S.O. TeamSpeak for post-race conversation. So please provide the H.S.O. TeamSpeak info. Thanks.
[Edited on Aug 27th] Looks like I will drive the #2 Silk Cut Jaguar solo as my co-driver has a "work vs. play" conflict on race day and will not be available.

I cannot get the sim to allow me to use the keystroke _ between the two drivers' names. (Western keyboard, not European) I can put a space between the 2 last names but it will not accept _ or - . Is a space OK?

Not sure how this choice will be for Donnington and Mexico (I have Never had a car I'm happy with around there,..sigh), but am Happy with How it's going around Hockenheim, so am looking forward to having a run again. Hello to all those I 'sort of know', as well..lol See you at the Race if Not online before. Cheers, Stewart

| Yes, thanks Guillame,..that was partly the reason I was doing some Testing of the Two cars. I Have run a number of races in the Past with the Mazda,...(Just Love the Mazda around Watkins Glen!!), but as I haven't run a Jag before, I Kinda figure, why Not Eh? Fortunately, with all the recent practice, I seem to have gained a better handle on the Jag and got My Brain back into the GTP mod as such lol So,..might as well gGo with the #14 car if there are No objections,.. Cheers, Stoo | |

| Time check please. I don't want to be late for this race so I just want to confirm the time difference between GMT and Eastern Daylight Time (NY City, USA on daylight savings time). I believe that there is a four hour difference. EG: 3:45 pm (GMT) Qualifying time is 11:45 am (EDT)? Am I correct? Thank you. | |

| I had to format my hard drive and reinstall NR & GTP. All went well, except that when I want to join the server I do not have the green button to go on the circuit. I can drive offline but not online. Anybody has an idea ? Thanks. | |
