a lot of fun with driving this track by now. Btw, is the BMW slower on top speed than the other cars or is it mine (setupwise, exit speeds)?

It should be somewhere in the middle.
Gearing makes a huge difference in top speed as does exit speed.

the link to hotlaps has to be changed to "http://91.121.135.76:29012/rTop100Factor?max=100&category=Touring Car Legends&track=Ruapuna Park". So it goes directly to the right page.
See you tomorrow

I don't like this track and I hope I'll never have to drive that unrhythmic waste of land again. There are better ways to spent an evening. 'Nuff said.

Pretty much all these tracks
@Oyvind Andersen, Sry about the door rubbing, Maybe you didnt know I was out there? Unfortunate for you and team Alfa that you spun
@Yves Placais, tried to wait for you before the hairpin at the end of race. Seemed like you lost the rear end before the contact. Maybe you would have saved it without me being there?? I slowed down for a little while, but a pack of cars were coming and I didnt want to lose too many more positions, and took off. If you felt it was my fault, sorry
Well done Thiago

Sorry for chat in race, I got so annoyed when I was really fit in the race and was pushed by the track, cut over and got a lot of blue flags, took some time before I realized I had lost a round, I hope not to spoil someone of you who took me through I also did not think it's right for anyone to run 5 and 6 rounds qval

I just checked my replay, massive understeer in T1. 3 wide going for the brake and I was the hotdog. Anyway, I'm the one to blame. Sorry Weber!
Yves was pretty hot in T1 too
Tire wear would play its part in the end, I just had to be patient and wait for the opportunities.
The qualify lap was a ultra!! Had to overdrive the car and catch the rear end somehow.
My start wasn't bad but the straight was big enough to allow Yves and Weber to catch up. Weber passed us in the outside coming from nowhere!! Cold brakes in the middle of 3 wide, something could happen. Big slide, a small tap on Weber enough to push him and make him lose few positions. Meanwhile Yves was cutting some lawn.
Dropped to 4th place behind Thim and Weber caught up and made the overtake in lap 3. Now 5th place and waiting for the Mustang tire to give up. It took 5 more laps and I got 4th back.
Titz was spinning and bouncing in turn 1 so I collected the 3rd place and started hunting Weber.
The fight took 15 laps! He had a good pace and we could close a little bit the gap to Jaques. I lap 23 I had a chance but had to defend in T1 by braking after the OMG mark, got a lot oversteer and almost spun.
Weber was ahead again! His tires were in bad shape and I was trying to find a spot where I could surprise him. I got the position just before the long right turn.
Jaques was in my visual but we didn't had a chance to fight for position because he spun at the hairpin. Tire issues for sure....
Then it was just a matter of keeping the car on the grey until the checkered flag.
Great race guys!
Thanks HSO and Jonathan for the broadcast! *(had refreshed my system and had not installed Teamspeak)

There are 2 reasons I let it slip this round (in the race itself, I've yet to decide what to do post race).
1. I'm on broadcast as well as admin duty so it's a bit hectic in the booth.
2. I checked the times and of those who did more than 4 laps total, only one did 3 hotlaps and he didn't improve on his 3rd.
But will discuss with the admins and we'll come to a concensus about what to do.
