If you find any glitches, bugs or want to give feedback about the mod or track we will be using in the next Gold Star open, leave your comments here.
Beware that the track is quite FPS intensive, so reducing details in your graphic settings is a good idea. Test with 19 AI cars offline and see how it works for you, reducing the visible ones to 10-12 will make a huge improvement as well as reducing the shadows.

i dont know if it is bug or feature of the car but Maserati with default setup half of lap rear right tyre is making black line on road and smokes a lot (not only 1st and 2nd gear but on 3rd gear too) and upto 3rd gear car drive relatively straight but when shift to 4th sudenly go sideways and is hard to maintain in wanted direction, expected at highest gear it wil be less wild

Careful investigation revealed that in 1936 most racing cars (And all lower power cars) did have open differentials. It was that year that Auto Union introduced the ZF locking one and dominated, with Mercedes only catching up later when they realized what was going on.
There still as of today lots of videos showing one-wheel burnouts in those older cars when they remain in the original configuration. For example, skip to 0.32 on this one

McQueen's Mustang didn't have a locking diff, too, evident in the scene where he misses the corner, backs up and accelerates again, laying down a single loooooooooong line of burnt rubber...
Keeping the wheels from spinning to much is a key in going fast with these cars. Needs a somewhat different approach to driving, but its an almost illegal amount of fun!

Yea this mod is awesome. We should do a whole season
Unfortunately the voiturette races took place in many tracks that do not exist for rFactor or AMS, and also many of them included in the grid lots of cars we don't have in the mod. But maybe more opens are possible, depending on the success of this one

Yesterday, I did for some silly fun a run with the ERA up the Transfagarassan. Okay, that road didn't exist back in the 30s, but the idea of a hill climb in these buggers as a Gold Star event appeals to me

Or a run around Targa Florio

My time with the Bugatti did register, on 3 July at 7.41 PM, but it was listed as "custom" rather than Bugatti. There were no issues with my lap times.
I think it was the #4 car (dark blue, driver had an Eastern European name). I'll verify that later today.
