1. i was expecting a formation lap because the first post says formation lap.

2. i didn't get any lights or anything to tell me the race was starting

Apologize for the formation lap confusion. That was my mistake.   Cut and pasted from another post 

All races will just have just the standing start, no formation.  Watch for the clock to start.

Heat 2 drivers on track now please.

Quite not happy with someones when we were side to side into corner then some of them turn into closing door (especilay in last corner

(Martin we nearly colide in 5th lap)

This is not the way for open wheelers IMHO

Got hit on the grid before the flag fell and the suspension went off kilter

look, i know accidents can and do happen in racing, but i just found this evening a super frustrating experience.

as for the heat and quali, don't know where my speed went this evening. i was doing solid sub 41 runs earlier

I hit someone at the start, too and lost my nosecone, but that was after the flag fell. Gotta apologise nontheless. Else something happened I always want to avoid under all circumstances: I was the last car running. I'll weep into my pillow now...

I love these little buggers, but I can't drive them at a competitive speed. Dunno what I'm doing wrong there. Well, starts were a bit chaotic, as there are no lights to look at, and some still wait for something to happen while others are already on their way. I lost a bit on the start of the main race due to such a situation. That huge wreckage out of Woodcote got me up as far as 11th, but a little nudge a while later cost me a lot of time. I was able to get a bit closer to Scott and Simon in front of me, and it wasn't completely impossible to fetch them again, but then I made a small mistake and that basically was it. Greg behind me pitted the last to laps and that sealed my fate as the last car running. Well, not exactly my night...

yesterday i was about to quit this race, because of poor times in practice, but somethink broke and i give a try, big surprise was the 1st quali session, 5th place , can belive ,

start was bad, i didn see any semaphore or any signal so put gear after clock start but too much throtle and spin into Juha but he was OK from my point of view, as i wrote i was scared how hard someone went into fights in corners , in the last i lift, if not the cras was surely here.

then fight with Martin, again he turn into inner line (5th la) where i was, litlle touch but cars were OK then i lost ground a little and lost speed to the end of the heat. 5th place .

final race 9th place at the start, i was afraid what happen, hmm like on public servers, too much incidents, i sloved when there was trouble in front but was hit from behind and then from side, result, bent suspension , the car hardly turn to left, but right turns was little better, in 2nd lap i was on 11th place but then i saw i am falling from 11 to 22, it nerved me a liottle what happened, lost concentration by this, went little to gras and was overtaken then by 3 cars

then i had BIG luck in last right corner, when 2 cars ib fron spun and i went right between them

got to 10th and then by mistakes of someones to final 8th, whole race i was alone, cant use slipstream as cars in front, gaining in turns but losing on straights

Je me suis rendu compte de mon erreur en ne voyant pas les autres voitures bouger, mais il était trop tard !!!

Le mal était fait !

Des courses comme j'aime les vivre sur HSO !  
Peu importe le résultat, s'il est bon, c'est encore mieux, mais ce n'est vraiment pas la priorité, c'est la manière qui est compte ! Et là, j'ai été comblé !  
Respect, maîtrise, attaque, le bonheur HSO à l'état pur !
Mais avant de faire le petit compte-rendu de ma soirée, un grand merci à David (Jacques)  


1ère course (série 2):
Malgré un temps de qualif un peu en deçà de ce que j'espérais, je profite quand même d'une première ligne et surtout d'un premier que j'avais raccourcie pour prendre la tête au premier virage.
Puis viennent 7 tours de folie avec David, mais dans un respect total et ça, c'est le top !  
Freinage tardif, aspiration, draft, bref la totale pour s'amuser un maximum tout en prenant le large sur nos poursuivants.
Mais je sens bien que David est plus rapide et qu'il pourra me dépasser quand il le voudra.
Nous rentrons dans le dernier tour, je le passe, mais je sais que c'est trop tôt et qu'il me repassera dans la dernière ligne droite à l'aspi. En effet, David déboîte, me déborde par la droite et reste logiquement au milieu de la piste avant d'aborder Woodcote. Je suis dans ses roues, un peu plus rapide mais pas possible de le passer à l'intérieur sans éviter le contact, et je termine à quelques centièmes du vainqueur de cette série.

Finale :
On prend les mêmes et on recommence avec Austin en plus, mais beaucoup trop rapide et qui s'envole lentement, mais irrémédiablement. Et pourtant avec David, nous avons tenté pour garder le contact, et avons enterré la hache de guerre en collaborant (draft, poussette dans les lignes droites pour gagner de la vitesse) pour essayer de garder le contact avec Austin, mais en vain, celui-ci était imbattable hier soir.
A moins d'une faute, la victoire lui est offerte !
A l'amorce du dernier tour, nous reprenons avec David notre lutte, et comme en série, je le passe, mais David me repasse dans la ligne droite avant Woodcote. Je reste dans ses roues et comme j'avais remarqué que c'était le seul endroit où j'étais un peu plus rapide dans ce virage, je prend mon courage à deux mains, je m'accroche au volant, je ne lève pas le pied et entreprend de lui faire l'extérieur.
Doucement, je grignote la FF de David... je suis à ses côtés... l'herbe à gauche se rapproche...je ne lève pas le pied, tant pis, on verra bien... la ligne est là, deux roues dans l'herbe... à fond, à fond, et je franchis la ligne avec quelques millièmes d'avance sur David avec qui j'ai immédiatement la sensation vécu un grand moment, et aussi un des plus beaux dépassements de ma "carrière" !

Bravo Austin , merci David , bravo à tous, et un grand merci à Jason pour tout le travail accompli pour notre plaisir !

J'ai bien essayé de suivre toi et David, mais dès le départ le trou était déjà fait. J'ai donc réalisé une course en solitaire. Mais terminer 4e derrière un tel podium et vu qui est encore derrière moi, j'ai de quoi être content.

Thanks for mentioning it, but I never even noticed it.

I had a great fight with Sky in the semi-final until I put four wheels in the grass and had to settle for 3rd. The final was a lonely ride for me, but at least the car was fun to drive.

I find the best thing to do with flagmen is to switch the pit menu to the overall race display.  When the clock starts, that means the race is on.

près de 10 mois sans course ni meme avoir touché le volant ,  autant vous dire que l on perd facilement son niveau en ne pratiquant pas

depuis plusieurs semaines , le simracing s'est mis à me manquer fortement. puis en rentrant chez moi hier soir vers 19h , je passe sur le forum , je vois un open en F Ford le soir meme et la je ne sais pas comment expliquer cela , mais comme un drogué en manque de sa dose , ma participation coute que coute a cette course est devenue une sorte d'obsession incontrolable .

a 19h40 j avais fini d'installer le mod ( pas facile car avec le temps j avais oublié plein de petites manipulations ) et réinstaller le volant . et la des ma 1 ere sortie des stands , une sensation de bien etre et bonheur m' a envahie

Je ne parle meme pas de mon set up qui était d un ridicule inimaginable avec surtout une boite de vitesse 10000 fois trop longue donc chaque sortie de courbe et relance je me faisais soit déposé soit recollé irrémé diablement

bon les courses j ai été lent et mauvais , commis pas mal d erreurs plus ou moins importantes mais chaque tour passant , les sensations petit à petit ont commencé à revenir et quel plaisir

une belle bataille  avec Dana et Steve  

le virus vient de me rattraper , je vais essayer d etre présent régulièrement cette saison .

Yves, a complete pleasure to race with you! nose to tail, side by side, close the entire heat and final, was never once worried about a silly move. so amazing to comfortably race that close with someone, looking forward to more close racing in the future!

Austin, congrats, you were untouchable. Yves and I were pushing on each other as much as possible trying to stay with you, but you were just pulling away every lap.

that final turn was my nemesis, the car was good, but very line sensitive, if i didnt catch it exactly right i would get massive understeer on exit. flat out was never an option for me, even with a pretty good early lift it was a tight corner for me. in the heat race i think i had a bit better position and managed to hold the corner. the final, yves, you setup that corner perfect, i had to leave you a lane, and you just kept the momentum up better, amazing finish!

Any chance to get a replay of heat 2?
