Race 07 AI Control after race

Hello guys,
so I've gotten into Race07 big time lately, but one thing definitely annoys me. Every time after a race ends, the AI take control of the car and drive it back to the pits.
Now, I've also got GT Legends and the way to disable that same issue is to edit the following line in the plr file:

"No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car (except autopit)"

That would always give the player control over the car, even after the end of a race.
For some reason, that doesn't work for me in Race07.
Is there any way I can somehow enforce that in the game or is it one of those hard-coded things (which I don't believe since GTL and Race07 are somewhat similar to each other)?
