The following procedures will occur during the start:

The race will be programmed for full flag rules and 203 laps (the three extra laps will be used to clear any penalties and get the cars in the proper formation for the start)

Here is how the lap cadence will go (all of these laps are conducted at 100 mph):

- Game-controlled pace lap:  Two-wide formation behind the game-controlled pace car; the green flag given by rFactor is ignored.

- 1st extra lap:  Drivers with stop/go penalties can pit at the end of this lap to clear them, then rejoin the track.

- 2nd extra lap:  Drivers use this lap to re-sort themselves in single file according to qualifying order.

- 3rd extra lap:  Drivers form rows of three after the turn 2 exit*; the actual green is given by an admin at the end of this lap.**

After the race, the three extra laps will be deleted from the results, so the distance traveled will show 200 laps.

*It is the DRIVERS' RESPONSIBILITY to know what row they are in and what cars they should have around them. Failure to line up properly (e.g. wrong row of the grid, wrong place within the row) could result in a post race penalty.

**Admins reserve the right to abort the start if they feel it is necessary for the good of the event.

If drivers experience any undeserved penalties during the race itself, they can continue to drive the rest of the race as normal without serving the penalty; any lap penalty that is tacked on at the end of the race will be edited out by the admins post race.

If anyone has any questions about these procedures, please ask away Smile  We want everything to be as clear as possible.

If for the third pace lap someone has gone missing what should we do?

And if another car is in what I believe to be my spot what do I do?

If you mean do the cars behind the missing one each advance one slot, the answer is no.  Everyone keeps their assigned slot.
If you mean do we restart if someone leaves the server on the third pace lap, the answer is likely no because we will be too close to the start by that point.

Let the admins know after the race, and we will consider taking post-race action.

A quick tip for everyone:

Write on a paper the name of the drivers in your row, the row in front and the row behind, aligned f.e. like this:

Driver1-----Driver2-----Driver3

Driver4-----**ME**-----Driver6

Driver7-----Driver8-----Driver9

That will give you a quick visual clue to how and where to place yourself, even if someone does not appear for the race or has a disco or whatever.

Another tip:

Write in the same paper the laps in which you want to pit initially f.e. 25/50/75.... You can always add to that as many as you gained because of yellows, and you will have a clear picture towards ends of the race of the fuel you need and see if you can make a gamble.

Good luck all!

I need a riding mechanic at my side to figure race strategy when to pit and do some spotting. This is going to be a very tough race to finish.
