Zut à la fin !!! :grrr: :grrr: :grrr: :grrr:

:grrr:  :grrr:  :grrr:  :grrr:

I must say Im pretty shocked with your driving..
I know Im a rookie compared to you, but man, you really did some bad manouvers, I was not expecting that from you. And for the last, you hit me on purpose..

C'mon, you are better than that..

Oh man, oh man, oh man that was 38 laps of pure adrenaline. Such a shame to end it 7 laps from home!

The Minardi's need to learn to dance together more elegantly :langue: Sorry Brian Janik, but there was no way to avoid you. I thought I was going to squeeze by on the inside but you just kept coming!

An incredible battle for the lead for over 30 laps, really impressive stuff. Thank you.

That was awesome! Oval racing with right hand turns. :D

I started badly, but soon realised my setup was as good as it gets and went from 9th to 1st. Pascal offered a lot of resistance though, and the slipstream meant I couldn't open up a lead. During one of Pascal's attempts, I got T-boned by David's Minardi and I was back to 7th. I wasn't going to give up so I started chasing, and nearly made it. I got within 2 seconds of Petr Hlavac. Close, but not close enough.

I'm not sure what's the most frustrating, missing a win after 6 hours in Monza by half a second, or this one. However, after my abysmal performances in the early part of the series, this was a lot better than I ever expected. I can't wait for Spa and Monza, but unfortunately we have to visit the Hungaboring first. :D

Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

I kinda wanted to do the same, but to finish, I had to save fuel. So I shifted down to boost 7 and was advised by my TS "engineers" to slipstream you.

Just as I did that, I saw you get alongside and slowed down.

As you started spinning, I was going "oh no" but just couldn't decide if I should slam the brakes.

I feel like an idiot that I couldn't avoid us picking up serious damage Sad

I am also sorry for Rob, great performance from him.

Same goes for Juha, I feel like I kept him from winning again(Monza WEC being in the way for a bit too long), didn't mean to spin him around at the first chicane.

I may have taken some lead laps, FL and a point, but I don't feel... "accomplished" after these two incidents.

I tried being as careful as possible, but it wasn't quite to be...

Accidents happen. At first I was frustrated, but at least my car was fine, could have been worse. I'm getting tired of all those podiums though. I'd like to win a race some day. :D

btw, my stats say I have 1 win, can't remember when that happened? According to the website it was Monza, but I finished behind a 935. :D

That was so impressive how you fought back through the slipstreaming pack, not once but twice! A pleasure racing with you today, really clean and fair.

Congratulations to Petr Hlavac! Those Dallaras were really flying today Smile

No worries, David. That's racing I'm afraid.

Thanks to the sideways contact, I didn't pick up damage either.

But I started swearing at myself Rolling Eyes

You won the class at Monza, Weber/Titz was a Gr. 5 car, you were in the Gr. C car.

The system (still) counts class wins aswell.

Thanks Rob. I knew my car was on a different wing setup than most others so took it gently and only went for it when I knew I had enough room.

I'm now watching Pascal's footage. I think it's the first time someone called me "really really fast." lol! And I thought you'd crash into the Lambo. Shocked

WOOHOOOOO!!! I have NEVER EVER EVER EVER seen this one coming. Except for Phoenix and San Marino, these cars were pain in the ass for most of the time. Not just uncompetitive, but pretty much undrivable for me due to excessive understeer. Even practice and the first round of qualifying wasn't promissing at all, as i was whopping 4s slower than Francois with the same car. Then Francois gave me his setup, i moved the ballance significantly to the rear and finally liked the way the car handled. And then the race...

The start was quite hectic, but there was no dirty driving. I settled below points at p7-8 and enjoyed a nice battle with Raul. I thought that was fun. Well, there was more to come. To my big surprise, i got winthin reach of the leading pack and then the real stuff begun. It was like an oval race. Crazy slipstreaming, only interrupted by those chicanes. And then... I was fighting for the lead with Pascal! That's also when i made a significant mistake, as i had a half spin while entering the finish straight. Another round of fight with Pacsal and i was IN THE LEAD! Surreal, indeed. The rest of the race was all about keeping the pace and not screwing up. More difficult task then ever. My heart was beating like crazy, Juha was very fast and he was closing. But it was all or nothing to me. Better crash out than finish second, as this was obviously the one and only chance to win in F1 1991. Probably the worst moment of the race was crossing the line into 44th lap and realizing that 44 is the number for Spa, Hockenheim wants 45. But i made it in the end.

This must be the most unexpected victory i've ever done. I can't thank Francois enough for putting me back on track with his setup. And everybody else for (mostly) clean and fair racing. Awesome stuff!
