SCC 1966 - Porsche 906 Skins

Here are a few ideas for your personnal skins of 906s. All the following cars are period 906s, some famous, some obscure, some beautiful and some... very beautiful ! As stated in the SCC 1966 rules, your skins do not have to be 100% accurate, and anyway the pics presented here most often only show part of the cars and rarely the complete skin. But please try to stick as much as possible to the real stuff, not only graphically but also in spirit .

Of course if you have other pics of this car and want to use it for your skin, it's allowed

Voila quelques idées pour vos skins 906 perso. Tous ces skins sont d'époque, certains célèbres, d'autres non, d'autres magnifiques, et d'autres .... encore plus magnifiques ! Comme précisé dans le règlement du championnat, vos skins n'ont pas à être 100% précis, et de toutes façons, les photos présentées ne permettent pas toujours de voir la voiture en entier. Mais essayez de coller au maximum à la réalité, graphiquement mais aussi dans l'esprit .

Bien sur si vous avez d'autres photos de cette voiture et voulez les utiliser pour votre skin, c'est autorisé

exact ! Je crois qu'on peut intégrer Frank à la HAAS (Haute Autorité pour l'Accuracy dans le Simracing) 8)

En 66 il me semble que le groupe sanguin n'etait pas inscrit sur la voiture

Well to be Frank with YOU, it´s slightly ugglier than the 42-car above and I wont tell you what Fetter means in swedish. Nice job with the memberslist and what a relief to see that I´m not the only dinosaur. Just one question. Who is the member with 9 nationalities?

Comment je peux faire pour tester un skin provisoire dans le jeu ? Il faut le mettre dans un répertoire comme dans LFS ou bien il faut convertir les fichier sous un autre format ?

Il faut convertir ton fichier au format DDS.

DDS converter 2 fait ça trés bien et c'est gratos.

La suite est un peu plus délicate.

Le mieux est d'aller chercher le répertoire d'une 906 et d'en faire une copie en la renommant. Il faut aussi renommer tous les fichiers du répertoire.
Le répertoire se trouve sous ... \gamedata\vehicles\HISTORIC GT\HISTORICAL FIA GT\GTC-TC-76\PORSCHE906\906CUP

Tu peux prendre, par exemple le 1er répertoire : 02TS (chaque répertoire correspond à une voiture), tu le copies en le renommant DAVE, tu renommes tous les fichiers du répertoire en changeant le préfixe 02TS en DAVE. le fichier de la carrosserie s'appelera DAVE.dds
Enfin, tu édites le fichier DAVE.veh avec un petit éditeur texte, il y a 2 ou 3 bricoles à changer (number, team ...)

Et voilà, c'est fait. Si tu ne t'es pas trompé, ta voiture apparait parmi les autres voitures de la série des 906. si tu t'es trompé, il se peut que tu doives réinstaller le mod, reformater ton disque, abandonner le simracing, revendre ton volant , je déconne ...

Guillaume how did u paint the fins on your 33 car because
i cant seem to paint them so that they show up
body colour in the game (where did u paint them on the template)

I Would also like to change the rear screen to a slight
yellow tint screen but when i try and save the windows template
photoshop says to much info to export .....

Carl you can paint the fins in the file nammed "PORSCHE_906_BODY2.psd" given in the template and name it "XXXextra5.dds" (or maybe extra6 i dont remember).

About the rear window, when photoshop says that, i use to save the PSD in BMP format, and then convert the BMP into a DDS file.
