I don't even have GPL installed anymore, but WOW, this looks fantastic! Maybe there could be a conversion to rFactor one day...?

My favorite grand prix cars. Front engined open wheelers just look the best.
I lost my gpl disk years ago though

I haven't played GPL very much lately but I love how the community is still going strong

To put "play" and "GPL" in the same sentence, do you want to kill our ancients?

Are there any decent 50s mods around besides the one or other odd vehicles? Not just F1, that is. Wouldn't that be something for here?

There is a '58 mod being made by my friends who I worked with on the '65 mod. I don't work with them anymore as I have my own projects, but the final '65 version was great and this will be even better as there is no source material and all is being made from scratch.
If you want these '55 cars instead, contact the author and ask kindly. He might give permissions and provide the models and the sounds without having to rip them from GPL. Or bookmark this in your browser and check on it from time to time, as the legendary F1Ch modder Luigi70 is working on his own scratch made '55 mod for rF1. http://f1classic.your-talk.com/t18754-rfactor-1955-mod-by-luigi-70-friends

Compared to the 73USAC mod GPL doesn't feel that bad. The engines in GPL are much more linear and easy to control. Driving GPL fast can take alot of work. But 73USAC were tough to drive whether you were fast or slow
