Just for the benefit of everyone, does anyone feel like sharing their laptimes?

I'm really, really terribly sorry to have to say it at the season's end, but I can't do a broadcast of the race today because I have a History exam tomorrow and I have to study for it.
Anyways, good luck everyone!

Really poor season for me from the start to the end. When i do not make my own mistake then my engine suddenly explode. This each moment move my self-confidence step by step down into the next race. Also my finished races stats below 30% looks very poor. Very, very dissapoiting for me. :-(

I'm very sorry about turn 1. Turned in way too aggresively against understeering cars. However, I think that the ensuing chaos could have been avoided if the WM-Pug had done some kind of evasing action. Suspect I was very lucky my car wasn't too badly damaged from that T-bone.

All that remained was damage limitation. Managed to catch up with the 2nd place battle after a few laps, and did a pretty nice move on Juha and Sabre into Beckets. I saw that Juha's driving was a bit desperate/uncontrolled, which made me feel less bad about turn 1, but after watching the replay I do take blame for that.

Then I catched up with Jundt, who did a really fine job with the Rondeau with that little track time. I got by, but he didn't seem to have much trouble keeping up. We were about as fast as Ray, but David did a few mistakes and lost contact, and then Ray discoed. I'll take the 9 points, but this was Ray's (class A) championship from the beginning. Masterful drives in every race!

And not to forget to the overall champion, Yves! Also very impressive how to dominate in such a competitive championship.

Thank you HSO for hosting this series, the thought of racing this mod was what drove me to HSO in the first place, very glad to race these cars here. Hope to do more group C racing in 2017!

Short story: Crap race. Period.

Long story: Qualifying went surprisingly well, ended up in 6th position, and there was plenty of room at least another position. My best HSO quali result so far.
Race went off a bit slow, I was waiting to floor the throttle, but the car in front of me didn't really accelerate, and around me, cars went by. It all became a disaster in T1, when a couple of cars spun in front of me, in the end I t-boned some guy, because I saw it to late and it spun in the way I had chosen, and then I got a hit or two from behind. So there are 8 bits on your car than can get damaged, and 6 of them were yellow. Awesome! Rolling Eyes I was almost last, and I started my pursuit, from 19th, I could gain a few positions, mostly due to others having spins. I could shorten the distance to Frank Penk and Richard Coxon, who fought a hard battle for 12th position or so, I could temporarily pass Richard, who later gave me a big fright when he outbraked me into Woodcote, where I was already to late to make the corner safely, but then, I was never feeling comfortable on the brakes in my Rondeau this time. I lost a bit the rhythm due to that maneuvre, and it gave Jonathan Acerclinth the chance to pass me again, and so we were in a four or five car battle (I could swear there was a green Alba in the mix, too). In the whole chaos, the next disaster struck when my wheel came undone from the desk Shocked So with a loose wheel, I tried to navigate the circuit, shift, avoid other cars who had their own problems and reattach the wheel. I was nearly done with the later and getting ready to rejoin the charge, when (I suppose) Richard and Frank put themselves off track, and I couldn't avoid one of them. Big damage, and I called it a day. That was just to much to bear for me today. I wasn't too happy about some people's rejoining of the track today, but that is yet another matter.

Thanks for organising the series, not the most enjoyful for me for a variety of reasons (bad choice of car, not really getting the hang of the mod, some less favourite tracks), but there was some insanely tight racing, especially around Silverstone, that made it a worthwile effort. I'm looking forward to the next season of racing in here Smile

Today's result was good, but I can't say the same about my race.

I qualified third, which is about as good as it gets for me. At the start I tried to get the jump on the man on Pole while fending off the black Rondeau behind me. As I turned into Copse I suddenly found myself looking at the door of that same Rondeau with nowhere else to go. I saw carnage behind me, but suffered no damage so I could chase the three cars in front.

That idea proved to be illusive due to a lack of speed from my side. Instead, a few laps later Petr Hlavac catches me at the final chicane. I make a mess of the exit, drop the revs, the car bogs down and Petr hits me. Yet more Rondeau paint on my car, but through my own fault this time. Sorry Petr.

Fast forward a bit, one of the leading white Albas spins, rejoins and it brakes earlier into the chicane so I go for the gap. I started the move like Montoya, I finished it like Schumacher, in the Albas door. Definitely not what I intended to do.

After that I just cruised to the finish, slowly, but my car really needed to look like a rainbow so I found myself in the line of fire of a braking URD which I'd just lapped and got hit. The Alba survived and I crossed the line in fourth.

The only good bit is I finally found a good setup. Bit late now though. :rigol:

I suffered 2 big crashes because of the Jacob-Juha incident in turn 1. A real shame because I made a very good start from 11th Crying or Very sad

After some good dicing with Richard I managed to put my car upside down in woodcote chicane and later I did the same somewere else and found myself dead last again around lap 10 :hihi:

I thought about quitting the race because of all the damage but decided to press on in my very understeery pig of a car. Glad I did because due to others misfortune and Riddal's disconnection I took the final point in 10th :top:

See you all in BTCC and Indycar1988 guys! :hello:

hmm maybe but got 2 or 3 hits from behind thru rece with some damage , (started from end from 1st lap) so the back wasnt as good as it was in warmup

but what i cant understan why cars which are lap down overtook before corner where they are finaly slower or did make room in readable way and as soon as it is possible Rolling Eyes

3 unnecessary spins, about all of them at the last chicane. I could have led some more laps than just about 2.

This also made it easier for Jacob to winl but with myself not being able to quite set up the car and disliking how I had to force the car, 2nd is a lot more than I expected :second:

But to be honest, it hadn't been for that T1 mess(I just saw Jacob's rear wing coming towards me so I stayed outside) I probably wouldn't have finished so high up.

Also, it's hard to see outside these cars in cockpit view.

Is someone able to fix the hood cam so they stop facing nearly directly at the ground? Razz

Grats to Yves on his rotary-powered championship! :champ:

That was a nice move. I could see you both coming and knew what was about to happen so I made sure I was out of the way.
