Thx Pascal fun to watch with your commentary...you sound a bit like Sebastian Vettel Laughing

Ik had quite a good race in my sluggish-not-turning-turbo-Peugeot. Was fun to race again for first time since may!

No problem. I don't know if the damage caused the rear tyres to wear more but towards the end of the race the rear of the car was all over the place. I was just glad to finish after having a few spins.
Congrats Richard.

Or just enable virtual mirrors while in cockpit view. Then you can have the ideal driving position without having to adjust to see your mirrors.

I use virtual Mirror but in this mod the cars lookes to be much much far, and when car is on side, is completely invisible in mirrors and by look left and right by buttons

Very nice from car #80 to push me off the track when i tried to overtake you on lap 15. Very unfair.

I had a little fight with Jonathan over a couple of laps. Nice driving. Sry for that contact at the last chicane. I thought that you saw me, but unfortunately this was not the case  Damaged my front suspension, i think you damaged your rear too?. Really sry for that. After that i lost concentration and had a couple of spins, so i retired.
sorry, I should see the replay

Didn't think I had a hope in hell before the start. Fastest car in a straight line was way out of it's comfort zone on the fastest track in Britain, imagine that. Thruxton is a funny circuit, I don't think I had the steering wheel straight for a second on the lap.

But as others weared out their tyres or made other mistakes, I made steady progress. I got the final chicane figured out and made some good moves there. Eventually, I was 2nd in class. I'll take that!

Thank goodness its over. Seldom I lost that much of my motivation during a race. I knew it was going to be tough, but ugh! Rolling Eyes

Well, I was struggeling all week long getting my sectors together, having recorded a PB of 1.16.0x, even though there was potential for nearly another second. I tested a bit back and forth during quali and at my final attempt, I not only got all sectors combined, but improved over a second beyond my last attempts, and was happy about my 1.14.3. Didn't result in a Top 10-grid spot, though.

Start of the race was okay, gained positions, lost positions, took it rather easy, was in a pretty fun group in 11th, then got past, lost a bit contact, was in the next fun group, was a bit stunned how easily the URD went past me past the chicane, and some action in front of me got me a bit closer again. A little later I got spun around by Michal Rolling Eyes I turned into the right direction again, lost two more positions until I was on my way again, and tried to fetch up again. I could keep up with the three cars in front of me for a while, but while I was rather good in the fast, flowing sectors, I lost a lot of time in the chicane and the first sector. My car simply didn't like to turn properly. Somehow I managed to get ahead of Michal again, though not for very long.
Handling became worse, I had to let Michal pass and around lap 25 my front tires completely let go, and I lost balance and feeling for the car, My motivation went into a deep slump and I just wanted to finish in the 14th position I just was in, and try not to be too much in the way of the guys lapping me. Jonathan behind me was able to get some closer, some rough calculation told me it would become tight, so I braced myself and tried to gain some more distance again. The car felt a bit better now, apparently now the tires were a bit cooler, it helped the handling. It seems, Jonathan had some trouble of his own, because suddenly, the gap got larger, and towards the end, Oyvind in front of me seemed to be in problems too, because I made up quite some distance. But as soon as I pushed harder, the car became unbalanced again, so I couldn't close in as much as I desired. The flag came out and I was just 3 seconds behind Oyvind. One more lap, and I would probably have had a chance to get him, but well, I lost it much earlier.

Well, I hope the return to Silverstone will suit the car better. The Rondeau sure does not like Thruxton. Congratulations to the points finisher!

My apologies to Jan Titz for the coming together last night. I have not watched the replay but I knew you were on my inside and I needed to start turning in for that corner so my bad, I should have backed out of it. Sums up my season with these cars. I really enjoy them, the dynamics are excellent even if they under steer, but I have only finished one race and that at the back.

I don't know if I should give sim racing a break or what but I have never had such a shitty year results wise. Probably a full 90% of my races this year have ended up DNF Mad Mad Mad

Sorry once again Jan.

I never had success to set the URD. After run on a very stable 956 to Kyalami, I didn't find my way on the URD. And Thruxton is not my favourite track, hard to find the good braking points and trajectories with no training on this track.
Grats all to come, nice to see more than 20 drivers a wednesday night.:top:

Welcome to the club :rigol:

Had a bad start but gained some positions really fast. Sorry Michael i pushed you off track on turn 2, so i decided to let you pass again. Sadly we both lost position to Peter.

Points were possible for me, but made a dumb mistake on the start finish "straight".
The URD was such an understeer monster, cannot believe that i won the race two weeks ago...

Thanks for the coverage again. Grats to the winners.

Honestly enough, how I didn't get any penalty is a surprise for myself. I found a good setup to this URD, even if it's 6 seconds off the pace.

The only good point that I can say during the race is the start itself, I just saw the message box (not reading the "GREEN FLAG") and instantly blew past 3 cars on the inside then I braked too late and run wide, back in 21st.

After that.... meh. The only motivation I had was finish the race wherever you are. I think it was lap 2 or 3 that I spun in turn 3 then got hit from the side. From that point onwards the car veered to left a little on a clockwise track. I even have trouble to get a slingshot to overtake Novaes. Also noted the Placais incident very sorry mate, I was so sure I won't make the corner so I released the brake thinking that I would go to run off while you turn as usual on racing line. Nope.

Then I pitted on lap 20-ish to attempt to repair the car. Well it's now not veered as much as before. But still, the feeling of being a backmarker is just..... wow, I'm not used to it. Also I don't know why but I feel my finger won't obey my brain so I went wide at turn 3 several times. Final incident was when I think Janak came to lap me on the final chicane. I locked up in the kink and the car was heading to wall so I just hit brake to spin and stop before the wall, but Janak got surprised and hit me a little.

So, it's a good relief to finish the race, but sorry everyone.

My car really did not suit this track , but a good lap in qualy put me in 3rd, at the start the power advantage I had over Richard and Yves was soon canceled out due to the progressive understeer I had through the faster corners. This allowed Richard to pass me on the out side of turn six :top: and disappeared with Yves up the road . I could do a quick lap but it felt like the car wanted to leave the tarmac at any time ,I knew David would catch me at the end which he did, and I was clad when the race was over.

Championship wise I fear my disconnection at Oulton Park may be costly.

good job to the podium and all finishers.
