| I see, I was worried I was moved ahead of him by accident, glad to hear that's not the case - always nice to gain a place overnight | |

| But as you know, it's a 500 mile race Hoping you and I can duel a bit like last year. That was great fun. | |

| Additional AwardsIn addition to the Gary Bettenhausen Memorial Trophy, which will be sent to the race winner, there are two other "informal" awards that will be given during the Month of May.After the race, the HSO admins will give the Jigger Award to the driver who experiences the hardest luck during the Month of May. The award is named for Jigger Sirois, the real-life first recipient in 1969. The history of the award can be viewed here. Also after the race, the Rookie of the Year will be named by the HSO admins. Those eligible for the award are drivers with no HSO career starts before 2016. | |

I have to test not only the car setup but also endurance of my ass. 2.5 hours on a chair in one position will be the main problem. Any rest will be only in the pit. But im looking forward. so who have harder chair for racing my "cocpit" not on picture, 19" 4:3 ratio LCD and 12 year old Computer (Opteron 170 + GF GT 730)

Given the lenght of the race, you might want to swap your seat with one of these -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Question for the oval pros: would you develop your race setup with same, highter or lower downforce level compared to qualification?

| I'll be around, trying to survive in my Garage Engineered Marvel _________________________________ @Michael Drechsler The best way to make sure how you would want to do that is run on the server together with others on Wednesday with the race setup as is (as I assume not everyone does what I do, which is make a qually setup out of a race setup ) and see how it handles in traffic. Once you know how the car reacts, make small changes and run again with others or simply have the expereince to know what you will need to change (though that experience is hard earned and not always completely accurate...). For example, I know that in my Kenyon I will have to run slightly higher wings for the race because my car has very limited downforce to begin with. I can see the Eagles and possibly the McLaren's get away with running the same downforce for the race as they did in Qualifying. The main issue is that there is very little banking (in comparison) so you don't get as much help from that as you would get from Texas or even Trenton. I know it's not much help but I hope it helps at least a little bit | |

| The biggest issue for everyone will be how their car behaves in traffic. If you are going into a turn with a car in front of you, the spoiled air tumbling off the car in front will cause your car to understeer noticeably due to the loss of downforce. Conversely, a car following you closely in a turn will make your car oversteer a bit. Having to adapt to these issues in a race is a signature trait of the Indy 500 in the wing era. | |
